Dante doesn't look that old complexion-wise. Like, no wrinkles or anything. I honestly think it's a direct continuation of DMC2, like DIRECT for Dante. The end of DMC2 he drove into hell with no supposed way out. I think he drove into hell, fought for a long ass time, drove back out with messy grown hair and a full beard. I think it's too radical of a change for Dante to go from looking like this, to DMC2's look. Whereas if you swap it, it makes total sense. Also, hooded guy that took Nero's arm, it's totally fucking Vergil. Pause the screen and look at the arm that grabs Nero's. It's the same exact same Sleeve cuff as Vergil's coat. Yamato is stored in the Devil Bringer, and Vergil is getting it back. VIRGIL CONFIRMED. Welcome back buddy.

When I feel down, I just watch this trailer again and pull myself together instantly. Devil May Cry is very special. I can't think of another series in gaming anywhere near what this series has that would have killed it for good several times. This went from a cult classic to a crushingly disappointing sequel, to a triumphant return, to an okay game, then to a series reboot no one wanted, to an okay game's revamp. To a game people waited 10-15 years patiently for gameplay/lore wise. Fucking sorcery.

I'm not sure if I like Nero's desing while Dante's design seems cool to me. Gameplay will be dope for sure. About the artstyle, certainly it's different but I think that it's the logical evolution from the 'anime' design from DMC4 to a realistic design.

i think they made nero look a bit more like reboot dante, but that's not a huge issue for me (what im saying is that "donte" didn't look terrible on his own, but his personality was shit and should never have shared the same name as our favorite, flippant, pizza lover) as long as nero doesn't have a shit personality in this i don't see myself actively hating the characters so far

I remember watching the Microsoft E3 conference I was at home during break and when I saw Nero and Red Queen I screamed at the top of my lungs. My mom comes rushing in my room wondering if I’m alright. I then proceed to speak gibberish and point at the screen. Never has a hit on the head hurt so much.

Dante is only a nephilim in the reboot, where he's half-angel and half-demon. He's half-human and half-demon in the original series, which DMC5 is a continuation of and is the only one that matters.

Its was itsuno who went to capcom with a list of projects he wanted to and dmc 5 and dragon dogma 2 were at the top of the list. They gave him to go ahead on dmc 5 and what we ended was nothing short of amazing and smoking sexy stylish.

I love how this trailer is set up.
It starts out with some shots that would make the typical viewer think it’s going to be some generic, boring alien shooter or something.
