1) Caprice is a neo-classical ensemble from Russia distinguished by Inna Brejestovskaya’s heavenly voice and acoustic sound (harp, flute, clarinet, violin, cello) with a touch of electronics. The band's debut album was released in 1996.
Probably the band’s best known project is the Elven trilogy – an attempt to show what the music of the parallel world of Faerie sounds like. The first two CDs are musical illustrations of JRR Tolkien's novels, while the third part of the trilogy is sung in the unique language of Laoris. The music was mainly composed by Anton Brejestovski, who also invented Laoris, the language of the faeries, used in the Elven trilogy.
Their 2008's album "Kywitt! Kywitt!", includes one track performed with the enigmatic band DVAR, who had already contributed with one cover for the Russian edition of the debut album "Mirror".

Caprice Lyrics

The lyrics in Caprice's song Kywitt! Kywitt! depict a haunting story about a family who has cannibalistic tendencies. The first line "Mein Mutter, der mich schlacht" translates to "My mother, who butchered me" which suggests that the mother killed the singer. Then it goes on to say "Mein Vater, der mich aß" meaning "My father, who ate me" which hints that after the mother killed the singer, the father ate their flesh. The next line "Mein Schwester, der Marlenichen, sucht alle meine Benichen" which means "My sister, Marlenichen, searches for all of my bones" implies that the surviving sister looks for the singer's remains. And finally, "Bind't sie in ein seiden Tuch, legt's unter den Machandelbaum" translating to "She binds them in a silk cloth, lays it under the mandrake tree" suggests that the sister buries the remains of the singer under a mandrake tree. The song ends with the singer saying "Kywitt, kywitt, wat vör'n schöön Vagel bün ik!" which means "I am such a beautiful bird!"
