Transhumance
You left us slaves so we shed
Transhumance
The lyrics to Capsule's song Cobalt Connection seem to describe the concept of Transhumance, which is the movement of a population or group with their livestock from one place to another according to seasons and availability of pastures. "All hail next expurgator to frame his place over the fire so we shed Transhumance" could be interpreted as a praise to the next leader who will take charge of the journey and lead the group over the fire, which could symbolize the obstacles, risks, and challenges they will face during their transhumance. Shedding transhumance could mean leaving behind the old ways and traditions, and embracing a new path or lifestyle. The second line, "You left us slaves so we shed Transhumance" could imply that the decision to leave the old lifestyle behind wasn't entirely voluntary, and that the group was forced to adapt to new circumstances and challenges they weren't prepared for.
Overall, the lyrics evoke a sense of struggle, perseverance, and adaptation to new situations. The constant movement and journey depicted in the lyrics could be interpreted as a metaphor for life itself, with its ups and downs, challenges, and moments of triumph.
