Capsule Lyrics

You read me wrong
Babe I can’t describe how bad I feel inside
You read me wrong
I never found the sound of silence
You found your lesson
I never found the sound of silence
You found your lesson
I wanna touch my mind
The lyrics of Capsule's song Sound Of Silence express a feeling of disconnect and frustration in a relationship. The singer is conveying that they have never found the peace or tranquility that comes with silence, as they have been misunderstood and judged incorrectly by their partner. The line "You read me wrong" emphasizes this miscommunication and the feeling of being unseen and unheard. The singer then expresses their inner turmoil and inability to articulate their emotions, stating "Babe I can’t describe how bad I feel inside".
The repetition of "I never found the sound of silence" highlights the theme of not being able to find peace and understanding in the relationship. The subsequent line "You found your lesson" suggests that the partner may have learned from the experience, while the singer has not found resolution. The phrase "You’re so superficial" can be interpreted as the singer's frustration with their partner's lack of depth or insight. The final line, "I wanna touch my mind", conveys the desire for introspection and growth.
