Déjà Vu
Capture the Crown Lyrics

The cracks that have been brought upon ourselves
But most of all, and most of all
So what a way to waste a day with all these broken promises
I'll give back what you have given to me
so can you hear me? No, for I've given right back into what
you've given to me. How can you take and take
and sleep so soundly after all you've done to me
and I'll give you and I'll give you what you want.
With all these broken promises, it's so hard.
I have heard those words before
so what a way to waste a day with all these broken promises
I'll give back what you have given to me
so can you hear me? No. You give me. Fuck you (all)
The night is sweeter spent alone (so much sweeter)
This night is sweeter spent alone (There's nothing left for you to change)
This is the end of you and me
There's nothing left of you and me. Fuck you!
The lyrics of Déjà Vu by Capture the Crown are about the betrayal and disappointment experienced in a relationship where one person is constantly taking and causing harm, while the other gives and tries to make things work. The first lines speak of an ending of integrity, where cracks have been brought upon themselves, indicating that the situation has deteriorated due to the actions of both parties. The chorus reveals the frustration and hurt caused by the broken promises, and the desire to give back what has been received. The singer questions how the person taking can sleep so soundly while causing harm to another.
The bridge talks about seeing through one's own eyes, which could imply that the person finally sees the relationship for what it truly is, no longer blinded by love or hope for change. The repetition of the words "I'll give you what you want" indicates that the singer is tired of trying to make things work and is now resigned to ending the relationship. The lyrics culminate in a defiant stance where the person decides to spend the night alone, and declares that there is nothing left of the relationship.
Overall, the lyrics of Déjà Vu capture the pain and frustration of a relationship that has reached its breaking point, where one person has hurt the other too much, and there is no going back. The lyrics are emotive and raw, showcasing the singer's vulnerability and hurt, but also their strength to walk away.

Capture The Crown is the best band in history. Hands down. It doesn't matter that this was heavily autotuned. It's still very great.
@Yshtola.
