A bureaucrat woke up one day with nothin' much to do
The story starts with a lazy and purposeless bureaucrat.

He tried to put his street clothes on but couldn't find his shoe
The bureaucrat was so drunk the night before, that the aftermath made him unable to even dress up properly.

The night before he tied one on now cobwebs filled his head
The bureaucrat got drunk and inebriated the night before, resulting in a hangover the next day.

By afternoon he called in sick and then went back to bed
The bureaucrat didn't even try to work; instead, he called in sick and resumed sleeping, showing the height of his irresponsibility.

The next day he felt shaky but he made it off to work
The bureaucrat intentionally skipped work the other day and feels bad about it, so he eventually made it to his duty the next day.

And voted to increase his pay and take another perk
The bureaucrat is corrupt and selfish; he uses his influence to increase his own pay, even though he doesn’t deserve it.

Although the people cried out loud and told him what to do
The general public didn't agree with the bureaucrat's decision, and they made their disagreement known.

Instead of tryin' to cut the cost he increased revenue
The bureaucrat didn't consider cost-cutting solutions, instead, he advocated for an increase in revenue, which would negatively impact the people.

Tax hikes are on the way and he said, tax'em tax'em tax'em
The bureaucrat is bluntly announcing the imminent increase in taxes.

The bureaucrat is not concerned about the effect that this tax increase will have on the people, and advises that they raise more taxes until individuals have nowhere to hide.

The bureaucrat is so greedy that he plots to tax the people even for wearing clothes during winter and practically anything else, without concern for how it affects them.

My Congressman just voted yes to increase foreign aid
The bureaucrat's personal representative in Congress voted to increase foreign aid.

Despite America's crumbling infrastructure, which requires the most urgent attention, the attention of the bureaucrat and his representative was elsewhere.

He thinks if he can take my gun it's him who won't be killed
The bureaucrat feels that the senator is unjustly and unconstitutionally trying to take away his guns and isn't concerned about the potential consequences of the action.

He doesn't give a hang about the crime he helps create As long as bribes keep comin' in American's can wait
The bureaucrat believes that such policies not only violated the people's rights but also create more crime; he perceives that officials are only interested in money and thus, not worried about the crime rate.

The bureaucrat is advocating for an intense background check of candidates, so people should vote them out of office or find ways to remove them from their office themselves once identified.

Drag'em into the court every traitorous one
The bureaucrat wants them brought to court in any way possible to punish them all for their alleged malfeasance.

The bureaucrat is urging voters to use their strength to fix what he sees as an unjust bureaucracy.
