Lyrics:
Many a tear has to fall but it’s all in the game
All in the wonderful game that we know as love
You have words with him and your future’s looking dim
But these things your hearts can rise above
Once in a while he won’t call but it’s all in the game
Soon he’ll be there at your side with a sweet bouquet
And he’ll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly away
(Soon he’ll be there at your side)
With a sweet bouquet
Then he’ll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly away

One of the best popular songs ever recorded! Fall of 1958
@ronaldrose7593

@danielburns987
this song went to #1 on the pop charts in 1958!!!
@nealammerman6768
I have an original mono 45 of this! Love this classic song from 1958! Covered by many but no one can do it like Tommy ! Died in Richmond, VA, in Oct. 1969, only 47 yrs old.
@johnjames4213
I have both the’51 & this ‘58 version of this song. What a world of difference a good music arranger could do. This version is fantastic. I believe that Tommy’s MGM contract was ending shortly and this was a last minute recording session redo of this song. I believe when the record took off to #1 MGM renewed his contract - smart move! God bless you Mr. Edwards!
