Carla Morrison has three studio albums: "Dejenme Llorar" (2012), "Amor supremo" (2015) and "El renacimiento" (2022). She also has an acoustic album; "Amor supremo (Desnudo)" made in 2017; In addition to four EP's: "Aprendiendo a aprender" (her first project made in 2009), "Mientras tu dormías..." (2010), "Jugando en serio" (2013) and "La niña del tambor" (2016 ); also including her acoustic EP made at the beginning of 2022: "Los cuatro actos acústicos".
Carla Morrison is the daughter of two Mexican parents: Porfiria Flores and Hilario Morrison. Her father, Hilario Morrison, formerly Viera, got his last name when he was adopted by William Guy Morrison, born in California and the son of an English migrant named Laura Morrison.
Carla Morrison was born and lived in Tecate for the first years of her life. Since she was little, she received training in the art of drawing, dancing and singing, and she showed a special inclination for this last discipline. Motivated by her conviction to dedicate herself to music, she went to Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of seventeen. In this city, she began her musical studies at Mesa Community College, but soon dropped out because her way of approaching music was more spiritual, emotional and self-taught than academic.
Inspired by her teacher David Barrios, a Mexican lyric baritone, she began to present her first musical compositions under the artistic name of Babaluca . This project was consolidated as a band with the adhesion of Nick Kizer and Nichole Petta and positioned itself in a short time as one of the most important projects on the local scene.
During this stage of her artistic life, the singer collaborated with Mark Erickson —multi-instrumentalist musician, and member of the band Colorstone, from Phoenix, Arizona—, producer of Babaluca's first album, which never came out. Carla Morrison and Mark Erickson worked together to perform the song “Tragos de amargo licor” by Ramón Ayala at a country music festival, which was included in their extended play (ep), Aprendiendo a aprender. In addition, Mark Erickson invited her to be a backing vocalist on the Go Away Closer album, which he produced for Lonna Kelley.
After a short but productive career with Babaluca, Carla decided to leave the project and she returned to Mexico to continue her musical career as a soloist.

Amor, amor
Si me escuchas si me puedes ver
No me cierres tu guarida
Llena un poco de mi vida
Llena un poco de mi ser
Dónde puede estar
El amor que un día me negó la paz
¿Cuando volverá?
Puede que no vuelva nunca más, quizás
Puede estar herido
Puede estar desfallecido
Quizás esté sentado
A la puerta del pasado
Amor, amor
Que te pintas de cualquier color
Tan profundo como el viento
Tan lejano como el tiempo
Y tan cierto como el sol
Amor, amor
Si me escuchas si me puedes ver
No me cierres tu guarida
Llena un poco de mi vida
Llena un poco de mi ser
Amor, amor
Si me escuchas si me puedes ver
No me cierres tu guarida
Llena un poco de mi vida
Llena un poco de mi ser
In the song "Amor Amor" by Carla Morrison, the singer is searching for love and asking where it can be found. She acknowledges that love may be wounded or tired, but it cannot die. Love can be chained or forgotten but always maintains the potential to be awakened. The lyrics suggest that love is all around us, in every color and as deep as the wind, but sometimes can be as distant as time. However, it is also a universal truth, as true as the sun in the sky.
The lyrics highlight the theme of searching for love and how it can often evade us. The use of poetic language and metaphors enhances the emotional impact of the song. The repetition of "Amor, amor" emphasizes the universality and importance of love. The singer pleads with love, asking it not to close its door to her and to fill her life and soul. Through her singing, Carla Morrison creates a vulnerable and emotional connection with her listeners.
