You can find her album from her previous record deal under her maiden name Carly Hennessy. Though debut solo album, Ultimate High (2001), MCA Records label apparently only sold 300 copies in the first few months back in 2001, it had an increased popularity in sales around the time of her American Idol Performance.
In total, Smithson was in the Bottom 2 or 3 three times, on March 19 for her performance of The Beatles' "Blackbird"; on April 10 for her performance of Queen's "The Show Must Go On", after performing Superstar from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar on April 23, 2008. The day before she was eliminated Simon Cowell stated, "I thought that was the best performance of the night so far." After Ryan Seacrest announced the elimination Cowell said:
“ I apologize for giving you a compliment last night—kiss of death, but let me tell you, Carly, you can leave with your head held high. ”

Here come old flattop he come grooving up slowly
He got joo-joo eyeball he one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please
He wear no shoeshine he got toe-jam football
He got monkey finger he shoot coca-cola
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together right now over me
He bag production he got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard he one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his arms ya you can feel his disease
Come together right now over me
He roller-coaster he got early warning
He got muddy water he one mojo filter
He say "One and one and one is three"
Got to be good-looking 'cause he's so hard to see
Come together right now over me
Carly Smithson's song "Come Together" is a cover of The Beatles' iconic song by the same name. The song starts off with a description of a man, "old flattop," who's coming towards the singer, grooving up slowly. The man has joo-joo eyeball, which means that he has a wild look in his eye, and he's a holy roller. His hair goes down to his knee, and he's quirky, unconventional, and just does whatever he pleases. The man wears no shoeshine and has toe-jam football, which means his shoes may be old and rundown, and he probably plays football barefooted. The man's got monkey fingers and shoots Coca-Cola. He claims that he knows the singer and that the singer knows him. He says that one thing he can tell the singer is that he's got to be free. The singer then invites everyone to come together right now over him, meaning that the man is a unifying force who brings people together.
The man in the song has a bag of production, and he's got a walrus gumboot. He's got an Ono sideboard and is a spinal cracker. He's got feet that go down below his knee, and he can hold people in his arms, and they can feel his disease. The man is a roller-coaster and has early warning. He's got muddy water; he's one mojo filter, and he says that one and one and one is three. The man has to be good-looking because he's so hard to see. The singer then repeats the invitation to come together over him. The song can be interpreted differently depending on each individual, but it is commonly thought to be a song of unity, coming together despite differences, and finding common ground.

Gosh. I love her. In retrospect, I am glad she didn't win, because then she would've fizzled out. I'm glad she's in We Are The Fallen now, and I'm super glad I got to meet her. Everyone should check out their album "Tear The World Down".
