Names synonymous with the spirit of America's founding

Over 200 years ago they shook off the chains of tyranny from Great Britain By divine call
The founding fathers overthrew England through the call of God

Citing 27 biblical violations they wrote the Declaration of Independence With liberty and justice for all
The founders wrote the Declaration of Independence based on biblical principles, with equality and justice for all

But something happened since Jefferson called the Bible the cornerstone
Something has changed since Thomas Jefferson considered the Bible the basis of American liberty

For American liberty then put it in our schools as a light
Since then, the Bible has been removed from schools

Or since "Give me liberty or give me death", Patrick Henry said
Or since Patrick Henry's declaration that American independence was based on faith

Our country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ
America's founding was based on the message of Jesus Christ

We eliminated God from the equation of American life
God has been removed from American culture and society

Thus eliminating the reason this nation first began
This removal of God has caused America to forget its foundational beliefs

From beyond the grave I hear the voices of our founding fathers plead
The voices of America's founding fathers are calling out from the grave

You need God in America again
America needs to return to its faith in God

Of the 55 men who formed the Constitution
There were 55 men who wrote the US Constitution

Fifty-two were active members of their church
52 of the writers of the Constitution were devout members of their church

Founding fathers like Noah Webster who wrote the first dictionary
Many of America's founding fathers had a strong faith, like Noah Webster, who authored the first US dictionary

Could literally quote the Bible chapter and verse
They knew the Bible inside and out

James Madison said, "We've staked our future on our ability to follow
James Madison understood that America's success was dependent on following biblical principles

The Ten Commandments with all our heart"
Including the Ten Commandments with a devoted heart

These men believed you couldn't even call yourself an American
They believed that it was un-American to ignore the Word of God

If you subvert the Word of God
If you ignore the teachings of the Bible

Washington said, "You can't have National morality apart from religious principle,"
George Washington famously declared that a nation without faith cannot have a solid moral foundation

And it's true
This is an accurate statement

'Cause right now we have nearly 150,000 kids carrying guns
There are too many youth engaged in violent behavior

To these war zones we call public schools
Public schools have become battlefields

In the '40's and '50's student problems were chewing gum and talking
Many years ago, minor issues like chewing gum or talking were the biggest problems in schools

In the '90's, rape and murder are the trend
Now, the trend is to witness more severe offenses like rape and murder

The only way this nation can even hope to last this decade
The first step towards saving the country is to restore faith in God

Is to put God in America again
America needs to return to its faith in God

The only hope for America is Jesus
The only hope for America is its faith in Jesus Christ

If we repent of our ways stand firm and say
If we admit our faults and proclaim our beliefs

We need God in America again
America needs to return to its faith in God

Abe Lincoln said, "The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation
Abraham Lincoln understood that what children learn in school determines the values of the next generation

Will be the philosophy of the government of the next"
And the values of the next generation will determine the beliefs of the future government

So when you eliminate the Word of God from the classroom and politics
When the teachings of the Bible are removed from schools and politics

You eliminate the nation that Word protects
America loses its protective foundation

America is now number one in teen pregnancy and violent crime
America is struggling with an increase in teen pregnancy and violent crime

Number one in illiteracy, drug use and divorce
Illiteracy, drug use, and divorce rates are at an all time high in America

Every day a new holocaust of 5,000 unborn die
Every day, thousands of unborn babies are aborted

While pornography flood our streets like open sewers
Pornography is so easily accessible it covers our streets like an open sewer

America's dead and dying hand is on the threshold of the Church
The remnants of faith are lingering outside of the Church

While the spirit of Sodom and Gomorrah vex us all
The spirit of sin and immorality are prevalent in America

When it gets to the point where people would rather come out of the closet than clean it
When people would rather proudly announce their sin and live in it, rather than repent and turn away from it

It's the sign that the judgement of God is gonna fall
This behavior is a sign of imminent divine punishment

If there's ever been a time to rise up Church, it's now
Now is the time for the Church to take action

And as the blood bought saints of the living God proclaim
As the faithful followers of God speak out

That it's time to send the alarm from the Church house to The White House
It's time for the Church to alert the government

And say, "We want God in America again"
The Church must declare that America needs to return to its faith in God

I believe it's time America to stand up and proclaim
It's time for America to take a stand and speak out

That one nation under God is our demand
We demand that America remains one nation under God

And send this evil lifestyle back to Satan where it came from
We should send immoral behavior back to the devil where it originated

And let the Word of God revive our dying land
The teachings of the Bible must revive America's spirit

For Jesus Christ is coming back again in all His glory
Jesus Christ will return to earth triumphantly

And every eye shall see Him on that day
Everyone will witness His return

That's why a new anointing of God's power's coming on us
We are receiving new strength from God

To boldly tell the world you must be saved
We must not be afraid to tell the world that they must turn to faith to be saved

Because astrology won't save you, your horoscope won't save you
Reliance on astrology and horoscopes will not save anyone

The Bible says these things are all farce
The Bible declares that relying on astrology and horoscopes is false

If you're born again you don't need to look to the stars for your answers
If you have faith, you do not need to look to astrology for answers

'Cause you can look to the very One who made those stars
You can look to God, the creator of stars, for answers

History tells us time and time again
History has shown repeatedly

To live like there's no God makes you a fool
To ignore God is foolish

If you want to see kids live right
If you want children to behave correctly

Stop handing out condoms and start handing out the Word of God in schools
Stop distributing condoms in schools and instead give students access to the Bible

We need God in America
America needs to return to its faith in God

We need to bring back God to America again
