All I Could Focus On Was On You,
Desperate To For Life,
Desperate Here You Call Me
The lyrics to Carnifex's song Dead in My Eyes can be interpreted to mean a person being trapped or lost in a dark tunnel, with no way out. The singer of the song is consumed by his thoughts and feelings for someone, potentially a loved one. The darkness of the tunnel represents the uncertainty of the situation, and the desperation to stay alive is a metaphor for the singer's attempts to hold onto something familiar, like their memories or their love for the other person. The line "Desperate here you call me" portrays the intensity of their feelings and their desire for someone to reach out and help them escape.
Overall, the song speaks to themes of loneliness, love, and desperation. The tunnel represents a physical and emotional obstacle, and the singer's focus on the other person in the midst of their struggle represents a need for human connection and support.
