For anyone curious about the ending, it's from a musical sequence from a 1938 commercial for Ipana Toothpaste, in which a typical "my child must obey me" father is sent to a trial in the land of gnomes for kicking a stray dog, and the verse itself happens when the gnomes found out he didn't "massage his gums".

Lyrics:

"He's childlike in his dental knowledge.
Childlike in his dental knowledge.
Though he spent 4 years in college.
He'll be childlike in his knowledge.
And we agree he's guilty as can be.
Guilty, guilty, though he went to college,
He's childlike in his knowledge,
He's guilty, ra ra ra."

Lyrics from the 1938 cartoon "Boy Meets Dog" part:

He's child-like in his mental knowledge,
child-like in his mental knowledge...
Though he spent four years in college he'll be child-like in his knowledge,
and we agree he's guilty as can be...
(Ah-bah! Ah-booh! Ah-bah!)
Guilty! Guilty! Though he went to college,
He's child-like in his knowledge
He's guilty ra-ra-ra!

I fell asleep to this song as it was strangely calming, but then the drop hit. I've never woken so quickly.
