His "funkadelic rock" delivers a modern edge, but its rich, soulful roots are influenced by the timeless rock and soul of the 60s. An entertaining live performer, Carson's mother sang onstage nightly, until the very week he was born... possibly explaining his innate feel for rhythm. Although he's played piano since age three, it wasn't until being coaxed into a high school talent show that Carson began singing. Carson now draws comparisons to Joe Cocker, James Morrison and Gavin DeGraw, yet the piano-driven hooks, memorable melodies and fine-grit voice create his own distinctive sound.

In June, 2012, Carson released his album, 100 Hours along with a rock-documentary that captured the creative process with all the pressures, hurdles and triumphs involved in writing and recording his album in 100 waking hours. Indie Shuffle describes his first single, "Fire" as infectious with "punchy keyboards, funky bass, finely plucked guitar and a highly danceable tempo." Carson's 2008 debut CD, Green Eyed Soul, was named a Top 25 Rock CD of the year by Indie-Music.com. He later released a seven song EP, ReDrawn Sketches in 2010 that includes acoustic versions of Can't Shake You, She'll Wait, and Never Comin' Home from Green Eyed Soul, plus other new songs and a popular cover of the Kings of Leon's Grammy winning song, Use Somebody.

He is now receiving airplay in Europe and the U.S., as well as being added to numerous online stations including Pandora. Through non-exclusive agreements, you can also hear Carson's songs as "branding music" in large retail chain stores (Starbucks, Armani, GAP & others), in America, Japan, UK, and Europe.
