Carson started playing guitar at age 4-5, and progressed to a 3/4-scale gutar and started taking professional lessons at age five; he developed his talent early and has been performing for crowds and on the radio since at least age six, when he was featured on a local live radio show in his home town of Spokane, Washington. Carson had already won two state level singing contests by the time he was ten, and had good feedback from America's Got Talent. He was a finalist in Spokane's Got Talent.
Carson feels that his voice and talent are a gift from God, and his performance is his gift back. He is involved in charity work and has a special feeling for special needs kids. His humility and genuine warmth has often been remarked upon and this special quality of depth and feeling has opened doors for him in many places; he has worked with many leading lights in the music business (Keith Urban once gave him an autographed Les Paul guitar, and both Cody Simpson and Matthew West have reportedly been impressed with Carson).
Carson is a Washington State kid and likes the outdoors. He enjoys many outdoor activities including "wakeboarding, tubing [...] jetskiing [...] snowmobiling, downhill skiing and snowboarding".
