Dá pra discutir bastante, temos muitos compositores bons, especialmente da época em que o Cartola explodiu. Vinicius de Moraes, Toquinho, João Gilberto, caetanu velosu, dentre outros. Na minha opinião, Tom Jobim e Chico Buarque não saem do pódio frente a ninguém, mas o terceiro lugar pode ser de muitos. Vinicius, João Gilberto e Cartola, para mim, estão acima dos demais concorrentes ao posto, mas não vejo problema em ponderar Tim Maia, Rita Lee, Jorge Ben, Aldir Blanc e contemporâneos para exercer tal cargo.

@Teccerak Vai de gosto, eu prefiro samba e bossa nova. O Brasil é muito diverso e temos grandes nomes em muitos gêneros musicais, Raul Seixas, Alceu Valença e Zé Ramalho são exemplos de artistas que não ouço tanto mas que também são enormes.
