In Cartridge's song End of the World, the lyrics follow a conversation between two people discussing the message of Frank. The first person asks the second person what Frank said, to which the second person stated that Frank told him to follow him into the future. The first person then asks what will happen, to which the second person responds that Frank said the world is coming to an end. The first person is skeptical and thinks the idea of the world ending is stupid. However, the sequence of events seems to suggest that the world is indeed coming to an end, as the spell has been cast.
The lyrics indicate a sense of urgency and inevitability as the world is portrayed to be on the brink of destruction. As people grapple with the possibility of an impending apocalypse, the conversation between the two people in the lyrics speaks to the human capacity for denial and disbelief. The idea of following someone into the future also points to the human fascination with the unknown and a hope for a better future.

ahhh....I remember buying the Dungeonmaster's guide, and this starting off the amazing album. And what a start for such an ass-kicking mix! Incredibly atmospheric intro, still love it 2 years later today.
