Loneliest Girl In The World
Cary Brothers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Taking your hits as they come
You are the loneliest girl in the world
And tonight you'd fall for anyone
It's in the way you fall down to bed
It's in the way you cry when he's not looking
I'll watch you die a thousand times again
You are the loneliest girl in the world
And I just want to make it go away
And I just want to make it go away
The lyrics of "Loneliest Girl In The World" by Cary Brothers paint a picture of a girl who is experiencing intense loneliness and vulnerability. The singer addresses the girl, acknowledging her struggle and offering a sense of comfort and support. The repetition of the phrase "you are the loneliest girl in the world" emphasizes the depth of her pain and the isolation she feels.
The opening lines suggest that the girl is facing challenges and setbacks ("taking your hits as they come") and is willing to seek companionship with anyone to ease her loneliness. The second verse reveals the extent of her despair - as indicated by her vulnerability while falling asleep and crying alone. The chorus repeats the opening lines, suggesting that the girl's loneliness is a constant battle and that she is struggling to find a way out of it.
The final lines of the song express the singer's desire to alleviate the girl's loneliness and pain. "I just want to make it go away" - this line reveals that the singer is willing to go to any length to help the girl find comfort and companionship. The song ends on a hopeful note, suggesting that even though the girl may be facing darkness in her life, there are people who care about her and are willing to support her.
