Million years
Cary T. Brown Lyrics

Why does her memory haunt me seems like forever since she's been gone I can't go on
Every minute of every day seems like a million years

God why did you take her away from me I've heard that Heaven's a nice place to be
But I really need her here with me couldn't you have waited it can't be understated
Now every day without her seems like a million years

Every day seems like a million feels like a million trips 'round the Sun
My heart is broken each day since you took her away seems like a million years
God why did you take her away from me I've heard that Heaven's a nice place to be
But I really need her here with me couldn't you have waited it can't be understated
Now every day without her seems like a million years

Oh God why did you take her away from me I've heard that Heaven's a nice place to be
But I really need her here with me couldn't you have waited it can't be understated
Now every day without her yes very day without her seems like a million years

The actual HISTORY and Sexual Perspective Defined:

▶ "Knowledge is truly Power and abundantly Freeing"

*Their era offered a fully different value of perspective and understanding. In knowing History, European and Mediterranean History and Culture, the concept understanding includes a Sexual Perspective.

▶Note: During the 1920's the the "Power of Media as a "Tool for various Propagandas" was realized by and for the "Powerful Few", i.e., 1% of 1%, (Print Media had clarified this, but the Radio, then TV, took it to a whole other level".)

▶Point: This made the changes to the Information known by the Public, prior to WWII and Post WWII, "the following Eras thru Current Era have a Collective Mainstream Awareness based on the 1950's Picture of Life, from the Produced Films and TV Shows.
Recommended Watch: "The Century of the Self" valuable information
Prior to this, in the era of the Golden Hollywood Actors, the Carey Grant, Randolph Scott, Tyrone Powers, Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda era, there was a more "Euro-Mediterranean Concept" that the affluent had an opportunity to adapt and it included a Sexual Concept that very much, like the Greeks held back to Antiquity, was a Conception of Sex and Sexual Identity as 2 separate and independent subjects.

This meaning: Sex was or could be viewed from a perspective of it as an option to partake in from an almost "sports like" perspective. Totally absent of emotions, one that's easily seen as the "male perspective" all the way through. Yet then it included Feline/Feline and Male/Male, like a Tennis Match, even to the point of "Mixed Doubles", no pun intended.

Men throughout History, depending on Culture, would partake in male to male sexual acts, and it very much was a result of the "Male Libido and Lack of Females" with which to "Sport".
▶Note: in the Western Era the Brothels were called "Sporting Houses"

Social Standards in Male Dominated Societies of this World have deemed a Woman "de-flowered" should she partake in other than marital sex. This left men few women with which to "Sport", and their drive/need having such a strong focus, they established a reasonable secondary option.

Thus I'm saying, when in the 20th Century, Opportunity presented itself through Film Careers, Stardom, Financial Abundance - the "Time and Opportunity" to "Sport", but the Risk of Female's: pregnancies, law suits, Media, and generally the "tired of the Drama Game of Hollywood and Nightclubs", they opted for "the Mediterranean Method", and the subject of Homosexual had a completely distinctly different definition, and that being the individual preference for male only, with the emotional attachments and the Physical Predisposition of, the "Physiology of Homosexual" if you will, that was the key and true defining difference.

One being purely a sporting physical act and the other having the Emotional and Self Identifying Perspective.

It was actually a far more realistic and mature minded concept and perspective than what became the "norm of Western Thought", a really Ego/Lower Minded and judgemental perspective.

(Far less abuse and date--rapes would accumulate with the "Mediterranean Sexual Mentality")

Women in their era were Socialized to be far more dramatic and needy, creating a far greater resistance to giving them opportunities and getting involved in the "dating scene"

Randolph Scott was as big a star, especially of western movies in his days as John Wayne and Gary Cooper were.

The reason why he isn't as well remembered as Cooper and Wayne may be that most of his later westerns were more or less b-movies.

He simply played in less big classics than the other two western icons.
(But that doesn't mean his western movies are of lesser value of course!)

One exeption would certainly be his last picture with director Sam Peckinpah, "Ride the High Country"
in 1962.
So he surely chose a fitting farewell from the silver screen.
( together with Joel McCrea, whose last picture it would be as well .)

Also the westerns he made with director Budd Boetticher in the fifties have gained a new reputation over the last decades.

Makes economic sense when you no longer live with your parents and are just starting out in life, to share accomodation and all the expenses that go with it. A lot of young people rent grotty one bedroom flats when they could do much better if they shared with a couple of friends. Of course it isn't always possible to find friends who are reliable and not a pain in the ass to live with.

For the same reason James Stewart and Henry Fonda lived together because they were single. Even in the 1960s single men and women didn't live together that's why in I dream of Jeanie tv show Tony had to keep Jeanie hidden away when he ad visitors.

People who still think that they weren’t gay aren’t looking at the pictures.

@Savannah Sputnik Some of the comments here are ridiculous. They're coming from straight people who don't want to bring themselves to believe that Cary Grant and Randolph Scott were boyfriends. The best comment here is the one about it probably being an "economic necessity" for them to live together, lol! Both of these actors were making astronomical sums of money in Hollywood at the time...

I lived with my friend for almost seven years before his death. We lived together because we were poor and in our 20's. He was also my best friend. We had no romantic feelings for each other, but he was an important person in my life. I don't know why everyone always want to label two men who care about each other as homosexual. There is more to life than sex people.

@jurek46pink nonsense

I don't think these two movie stars were too poor to afford their own place
