My stone heart was breaking
My love ran away
These moments I knew I would be someone else
My love turned around and I fell
Be my bad boy, be my man
Be my week-end lover
You can be my bad boy
But understand
That I don't need you in my life again
Won't you be my bad boy, be my man
Be my week-end lover
But don't be my friend
You can be my bad boy
But understand
That I don't need you again
No I don't need you again
You once made this promise
To stay by my side
But after some time you just pushed me aside
You never thought that a girl could be strong
Now I'll show you how to go on
Be my bad boy, be my man
Be my week-end lover
But don't be my friend
You can be my bad boy
But understand
That I don't need you in my life again
Won't you be my bad boy, be my man
Be my week-end lover
But don't be my friend
You can be my bad boy
But understand
That I don't need you again
No I don't need you again
The lyrics to Cascada's "Bad Boy" follow the story of a woman who has been hurt and let down by a man she loved. She tells him to be her "bad boy" and "weekend lover," but not her friend, as she doesn't want him in her life again. She remembers the day when her "stone heart was breaking" as her love ran away, and she knew then she would become someone else. The promise of staying by her side was broken, and she was pushed aside. The woman shows strength, telling her former lover that she doesn't need him in her life again.
The song is about power dynamics in a relationship, and the woman taking control of her own life. She wants a relationship based on passion and excitement, not on a friendship that could lead to betrayal again. This can be seen when she says, "You can be my bad boy, but understand, that I don't need you in my life again." She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want, and she is not afraid to express it.

Sometimes I lay on the floor, raise my legs, and think of cascada songs. Reminds me of my teens, playing DDR and adding sparkly gifs to my MySpace page.
