Lose Myself
Casino Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I live like a suicide
Run for a thousand miles
Back to the start
And I, ride on a crazy train
A one way motorway
Back to the start oh

But I just can't help but lose myself again
No I just can't help but lose myself again

And I, die like a movie star
Pray for a broken heart
To get back to the start
And I, tell all my secret dreams
The ones kept just for me
To get back to the start oh

But I just can't help but lose myself again
No I just can't help but lose myself again
There's a place I go where I'm all alone
Where the feelin comes and I can't let go
No I just can't help but lose myself again

No I just can't help but lose myself again
No I just can't help but lose myself again
There's a place I go where I'm all alone
Where the feelin comes and I can't let go
No I just can't help but lose myself again

Just can't help but lose myself
Just can't help but lose myself
Just can't help but lose myself
Just can't help but lose myself
Just can't help but lose myself
Just can't help but lose myself
Just can't help but lose myself

Just can't help but lose myself
Just can't help but lose myself

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song "Lose Myself" by Casino contain a deep and emotional theme that reflects the struggles of an individual who is trying to cope with life's challenges. The first verse, "I live like a suicide, run for a thousand miles, back to the start, and I, ride on a crazy train, a one way motorway, back to the start oh" talks about how the singer is trying to escape from the realities of life and go back to the beginning. He wants to start over again, but he's trapped in a vicious cycle, trying to run away, but always returning to the same place.

The chorus, "But I just can't help but lose myself again, there's a place I go where I'm all alone, where the feeling comes and I can't let go, no I just can't help but lose myself again" depicts the inability to overcome negative emotions as one gets lost in their own thoughts, and feelings.

The second verse, "And I die like a movie star, pray for a broken heart, to get back to the start, and I, tell all my secret dreams, the ones kept just for me, to get back to the start oh" implies the desperation of the singer to be caught in a pattern of self-sabotaging thinking. He imagines starting over, tells his secrets not to anyone else, but to himself, and prays for the strength to go all over again. The singer's state of mind gets worse as he struggles to accept the present.

In conclusion, the song Lose Myself by Casino, is a portrayal of the struggles people face in the journey of life. It reflects the darkness and emptiness felt by individuals when they feel trapped, running, hoping to escape from their own thoughts and feelings, but end up losing themselves all over again.

Adam is a top top singer and a great guitarist. Stereophonics are one of my favourite bands and would love to see Adam given a lead vocal on one of the songs, and on a separate but related note, more ideas and songs to be written by the other members not just Kelly

Sam Brunt

Yeah, I always think in a band, every Member who wants to Sing should be given the Lead Song but yeah, I mean Adam did Sing more or less all the way through Geronimo in Stereophonics I think. Only if people want to sing I think they should be given the lead Vocal on some of the Songs, I just hope nobody forces anyone to sing at all.

Heaven 7

Great band, superb vocals. If they just had one killer song to break through, the rest would be history.

Tallulah Lawksley

This is even better heard live.

I recently lost my hard drive with all of the OG gumball videos, I'm trying everything to get the data back! I'll never forget watching those for the first time. I'll never forget this song. I hope we stumble into the same bar some day.
