Released independently on March 29, 2007, “Sounds of Salvation” is the fruit of this blending of various states and sounds.
After some sporadic touring (and eventually a full U.S. tour), Cassino settled down and started working on another full length record. The album is entitled "Kingprince", and was recorded by the band themselves. It was released digitally on December 9, 2009, with a physical release following on January 25, 2010.

BOOMERANG
Cassino Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Before it snaps where the warm blood runs
Cause it will flood our bodies soon
Flood this hotel room
Oh blue collar ruins the rags I wear
I closed the vents come and claim the air
And I hope the ceiling gives in
Since you got a hold of it
And skinned it for the look of me
I've got everything coming back
A boomerang of lead
Baby, I've got it bad
But I can't empty the bed, she said
The creature that roams the street at night
Will bite me straight in half
These sinking shoes will sink me soon
So hold me up 'til my feet sink through
And who dares, such a giant leap where a giant's sleeping
I hear it breathing, I hear it up above
Sick in the attic with my digital love
And I fear the ceiling's rising
Since you got a hold of it
And skinned it for the sound of me
I've got everything coming back
A boomerang of lead
Baby, I've got it bad
But I can't empty the bed, she said
The creature that roams the street at night
Will bite me straight in half
The song "Boomerang" by Cassino is a melancholic ballad that speaks of a tragic end that the singer saw coming, culminating in a feeling of hopelessness and despair. The lyrics talk about a relationship that is doomed to fail, with the singer admitting that they're "breaking up, for the gravity's won." The metaphor of gravity indicates that the relationship had lost its balance, and it was only a matter of time before it would snap. The warm blood running references the passion that they used to feel, but now it's just a potential flood that could drown them.
The singer seems to acknowledge their part in the relationship's failure when they sing, "Since you got a hold of it and skinned it for the look of me." They accept that the person they were with might have only liked them for their outward appearance and didn't invest in their relationship. The boomerang of lead that they feel returning to them represents the pain and hurt they inflicted on someone else, and now it's coming back to haunt them. The creature that roams the street at night is a metaphorical representation of their guilt and shame over their actions, something that they can't escape from.
The song's atmosphere is melancholic and introspective, with a sparse arrangement of acoustic guitar, piano, and accordion. The lyrics are poetic and open to interpretation, giving the listeners space to insert their emotions into the song. It shows that sometimes, relationships can't be fixed, and we must accept the consequences of our actions.
