Castro is a renowned Ghanaian hiplife and azonto artist
1) Castro is a grime artist from Tottenham, North London:
The content of Castro's lyrics are mainly focused on narcotics but do contain some references to the supernatural. Castro is part of the North London based crew/label/company Proper P. Currently it is speculated that Castro is currently working on a album or mixtape.
2) A Belgian rapper from Ghent:
Castro was born in 1977 as Wannes Van de Velde in Mechelen, Belgium and currently lives in Ghent. In his daily life he's a streetworker but in 1999 he started Castro 'n Pollux with his brother and in 2000 they made their first demo. People liked it very well and only a year after they came out with their first single; Herfst 2057 (Autumn 2057). There were three numbers on it and one of them was 'Eens' with the Dutch rappers Spacekees and Terilekst. In 2003, Castro came with his debute record Shockgolf (Shockwave)
Castro doesn't rap in the dialect from Ghent but more in Flemish, which is better to understand for the Dutch audience from The Netherlands, who don't like 't Hof van Commerce, another Flemisch hip hop band (because they simply can't understand their dialect).
3) An Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow:
If you read below, you can study a detail biogrophy of the Glasgow rock band that once supported The Dead 60s. I think their mum wrote it. The Castro better represented on last.fm charts is, according to last.fm user Lofnar, "een rapper, geen groep". He rose to prominence on JME's Derkhead mixtape with a track produced by Lava. It's really bloody good.
Castro is a 5-piece alternative rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. The band began performing around 2003, with a different line-up, but in the last year and a half, several changes to the line-up, including new bass player John Selfridge, drummer Graham Williamson, and new guitarist Alan Williamson have helped bring the band a traditional rock n roll swagger, and an invincible stage presence. The band started off playing local pubs such as Harleys rock bar in Hamilton and Bar Starka in Motherwell. Since then, the band have played most of Scotlands best live music venue including The Barfly, The Renfrew Ferry, Nice n Sleazys, Stereo, The Cathouse Rock Club and King Tuts(at which the bands musical idols Oasis were also discovered).
The band were recently supported in a local gig by a band in the top ten of the beat 106 competition Miller Unsigned. The gig was a massive success and like most of the bands local and regional gigs, it was a sell-out due to the band accumulating a healthy and loyal fanbase in the Glasgow region.
To further add to their profile, the band even booked a date to play in Scotlands Barlinnie Prison. The performance went down such a storm that even the inmates asked for the band to return, which they did, a while later. Castro recently supported popular British bands The Dead 60s, The Warlocks and The Kooks in yet more sell-out shows at King Tuts. The Dead 60s are now touring with the colossal heavyweight alternative chart rock band The Stereophonics.
The band are also in the Glasgow final of the East-meets-West competition, which will be held in the Barrowlands (a venue played regularly by the likes of Oasis, foo fighters, etc;). Previous heats have gone well for the band, in which they have played other bands completely off the stage, and for which they have sold well over one hundred tickets, despite date clashes with popular events such as the Scottish League Cup Final.
Graham Williamson and John Selfridge are both studying music technology at university, and both have received awards in music technology from their schooldays and since. Liam-Gallagher-esque Vocalist Colin Richardson and guitarist John Taylor have been writing together since their childhood and have become a brothers-in-arms on stage and in the studio. Alan Williamson joined the band recently as guitarist/backing-vocalist and his talent has been recognised by fans and band members alike.
The success of the bands independently released 4-track debut EP Cheap Thrills, recorded at Washoose studios in Glasgow (which was also given a positive review by Scottish newspaper The Daily Record) was unprecedented with the bands incredible, energetic and highly entertaining live performances reinforcing the recording, which completely sold out, and forced the band to run off another batch, such has been the interest in the band, including interest from record labels such as Sony. The bands original brand of post-Britpop style alternative rock has drawn influence from artists such as Oasis, Jet, The Foo Fighters, The Music, led zeppelin and The Beatles. They have even been compared to AC/DC, and appeal to a wide range of concert goers, with fans ranging from young teenagers to people in their 40s, and with labels keeping tabs on the bands activities, it is only a matter of time before the best band in Scotland start being called the best new band in Britain.
The band are expected to embark upon UK and US tours during late 2006, and during the summer of 2007.
4) A funk, alternative, rock band from Manila, Philippines:
Castro is a passage for Bogs, Momar, John, Ja, tagging Kyle and Allan along their way. Belonging to a band popularly known as CAPO, the group has now determined to venture into Castro leaning towards a more unified direction.
Having numerous sporadic exposure over the past five years in the music industryโincluding broadcasts through live TV performances on local networks, radio shows, concerts, and productionsโCastro now endeavors presence in the local music scene and hopes to reach out to a wider audience with the help of Artistree Global Entertainment Management Co.

Rich with songs that can already make a lifetimeโs worth of LPs, he leads the band towards an uncompromising commitment to inspire their listeners.
John (lead guitar) and Ja (rhythm guitar), along with Momar (bass), having been a part of the former band, brought with them an unyielding enthusiasm for Castroโs music. With a mighty bond of music and influences that hold them together, they became an integral part of the group sharing a wealth of experience in composition and arrangement.
Kyle (percussion) and Allan (keyboards) were invited to join the group first quarter of 2010. With the band membersโ goal to bring forward excellence in each crafts, no rocks were left unturned to find the two new additions to group. Uh, where all my hustlers?
(Where them thugs at?)
All my ballers.
What, let's do it like this. (Get up!)
(Indiana, Indiana!)
"Work"
Mag in this muth yo.
Killa Castro from Queens, trigga Treach.
(New Jeru, Dirty Jerz.)
Well can you get it like I get it, I got to get my blood
Known for slangin yayo and part the lick with my thugs
Fuck you, fuck your crew fool and all that shit
Bitch, it's a new nigga on the premesis
"Work"
Ah, puttin it down like I knows to
What, splittin these hata's wigs like I'm supposed to
Whenever you, wanna act the fool, and come and test
Get that ak slug through your vest
Forget your dog, get bucked
Wind up and see you with all the garbage stuck
Now you in the depths of Hell, feel like damn it ain't my lucky day
Never shoulda looked my way, motherfucker
Don't trust your bitch ass fool as far as I can thrust ya
Don't make no sudden moves fool and I won't have to bust ya
Trigga Treach he got his pistol do
We puttin in work from here to Russia fool
So what the fuck y'all here to do
"Work"
Huh, and it's on like that

"I puts in work"
And it's on like that
Yo dog I hope you cleaned your strap
"Uh huh, 'cause I puts in work"
Fatal how the hood'll hate you, caught up in drama
Colors and ganja like black autototes for armor
Millies and macks never the same pocket
Kept his phillies and crack how the streets rock it
Switch em, b cases like he fathered the system
Organized block cinemas away from the prison
With souls, lost rows and so on
Fall victim to the streets and so much can go wrong
Rebels meet crumble and majesties for salaries
Out of towners and goose downers introduce pounders
A lay loot for power evil roots shoot through cowards
Lettin other niggas just regulate they hours
Coke or chronic, philly roll millie by his scrotum
Barrel x to g packs
Never got along with cops, like it was Brett Favre and D backs
It's how rap cats believe that
"Just puttin in work"
And it's on like that
Castro, you know it's on like that
"Huh huh huh huuuh work"
And it's on like that
Yeah y'all we gettin it on like that
"Puttin it in y'all, puttin it in y'all"
Check it, I get deep voice like Barry
All you keep, naw you keep
Forgot I got permit to carry
All you sleep
Look at me, his face I'll bury
I look at you and say that's what happens when cousins marry
"Work"
Hate that funk shit, don't show up
Tore up from the floor up
My gat's so fat it needs to loose weight like hold up
On the run huh, it might be bailin in a Bronco
I be layin low from Rocko
In a condo outside of Toronto
How I feel about y'all poppin shit
Like a constipated port a lot of noise but you ain't droppin shit
This is me here, it ain't no other man
Always into somebody's business like you was
"Work"
Nigga I puts in like ten men
Kick up more dust than dirt
Drinkin more gin than Vin
Well see no El Nino or ghetto tsunami
Couldn't drop up on me so we got to fuck over Tommy
"I puts in work"

Motherfucker with them snakes and rats

"Work"
"Ah ow, Indiana comin on through"
"Work"
"Oh, what it mean y'all comin from Queens"
"Work"
"Hey, put it down for my town"
The song "Work" by Castro is a hardcore, aggressive rap song that highlights the life of a hustler. The song begins by calling out to all the "hustlers, ballers, thugs" and asking everyone to get up and get to work. It describes how the singer hustles and sells drugs, and doesn't care about anyone who tries to come in his way. The song is full of violent imagery, with references to shootings, AK slugs, and putting in work as a form of violent revenge.
The singer of the song, Castro, is known for slangin' yayo, which is slang for cocaine, and parting the lick with his thugs, which means to divide up the profits with his crew. He tells all his enemies to forget their dogs and get bucked, and that he's not to be messed with. The song also talks about rebels who meet crumble, and majesties for salaries. He also talks about how the streets can be dangerous, with so much that can go wrong if you aren't careful.
The song is full of aggression and violence, but it speaks to a certain reality for many people living in urban areas. It highlights how some people resort to drug dealing and violence to survive and make a living. The song "Work" is a statement on how the singer has to put in work, which is code for hustling and making money, in order to survive in this harsh world.
