Architect
Catalepsy Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Flooding streets
Is the stench
And blood blood of the innocent x2
This is everything, you've
Been dreaming of.
They still die
Our friends still die
For debts
You raise.
I'm not standing for
All your fallacies
We're the living proof
Of his treachery x2
Your destroyer
Hands soaked
In blood and oil
War lies they cry
what's the reason for fighting
If there's no fucking end x2
In Catalepsy's song "Architect," the lyrics describe the horror and devastation caused by war. The opening lyrics describe the streets being flooded with blood and the stench of death as if it were a plague. The repetition of "blood blood of the innocent" emphasizes the senseless violence and loss of innocent lives. The lyrics suggest that this is everything that the people in power have been dreaming of, while others continue to die for their benefit. The people in power continuously raise debts, causing their friends to continue to die.
However, the singer is not standing for all of these fallacies. They are the living proof of the treachery of those in power. The repetition of this line emphasizes the singer's conviction in taking a stand against the wrongdoing. The end of the song accuses those in power, the "architects" of the destruction, whose hands are soaked in blood and oil. The lyrics suggest that war is nothing but a lie and that there is no end to the fighting.
Overall, the lyrics of "Architect" by Catalepsy highlights the devastation of war and the senselessness of violence. It calls out those in power for their greed and highlights the loss of innocent lives due to their actions.
