They completed their first studio album, Iniquity, in January 2008. The album was released on May 13, 2008. In early 2008, the band recorded a music video for their song "Trust". It premiered on MTV's Headbangers Ball. In late 2008, Drew Carothers left the band due to personal issues. He was replaced with Josh Anderson of the Florida band Iamdivide. The band continued to tour, with such bands as After the Burial, Oceano, Too Pure to Die, Waking the Cadaver, Rose Funeral and many others.
In October 2010, during the recording of Bleed, Josh Anderson left the band. He was replaced by Rick Norman, formerly of the band In The Ruins, also a past member of Catalepsy. On December 3, 2010, the band released the first single from Bleed called "Infernal". Catalepsy Lyrics

The feet of a killer
She lies trembling in fear
First she fell to his lies and deception
Now she falls to the ground
All you know your meaning to existence
Down you fall to the feet he will show
No mercy
Battered and broken
She screams murder
And now that this is the end
Your pathetic life
Flashes before
Your eyes x4
As he drags her
He drags her to
The place where he
Intends to torture
For everything you've caused your
Blamed his misfortune
Every time he hurt he pictures in your face
You'll never make trough his maintaining innocence
And with this forceful action
And your foolishness
Fate has placed you here
In hands of certain death
Your pain your tears relives his disgust
Your pain and your tears
This isn't the end it's now just the beginning
He brings her to terms but consequently
In his actions leads her to bleed
For nothing more than satisfaction
And if you notice a moment of weakness
Run if you can X2
You'll never make it out alive x3
She screams murder x2
The lyrics in this song by Catalepsy, titled "Trust," can be interpreted as a story of a woman who falls victim to a killer, who takes pleasure in tormenting and torturing her. The lyrics describe how the woman falls to the feet of the killer, trembling in fear. She had initially fallen for his lies and deception, but now she falls to the ground in despair as she realizes the gravity of her situation.
The killer takes advantage of the woman's vulnerability and drags her to a place where he intends to torture her. He blames her for his misfortunes, and every time he hurts her, he pictures her face in his mind. The lyrics suggest that the woman's pain is gratifying to the killer, who relishes the satisfaction he feels from it.
The woman tries to fight back, screaming for mercy and for her life, but her efforts are in vain. She is no match for the killer's forceful actions, and the lyrics imply that she eventually succumbs to her fate, bleeding and suffering until the end.
Overall, the song paints a dark and gruesome picture of a woman who falls victim to a merciless killer, with her pain and suffering being the source of the killer's pleasure.
