I must admit I've been known to lose my way a bit
And six days in is where I lost my patience
But then I wrote two tunes that
brought me back from loneliness and desperation. In "Emily", Catfish and the Bottlemen sing about a young man who finds himself in New York City, feeling lost and in need of something to lift him out of the rut he's in. He reminisces about the company he keeps and how it's not enough to keep him content. Emily, a woman he knows, calls him up and invites him to join her to smoke and talk about love.
