Greetings from the wet and windy west Shamima and a bleated Happy 70th to you [Although you don't look a day over 50] and welcome aboard Life’s Exclusive Cruise to the stars reserved for those of us who have crossed the 70th line of Life with still much more to do.
You are a Living Legend Shamima, someone that all citizens of Fiji should be proud of, I am one of those proud citizens.
It is obvious that the words of wisdom passed down to you from your dad became your ‘Standard-Bearer’ and you never once wavered from his advise to ‘never lose your integrity’, ‘never lie’, ‘always be kind’, ‘be firm but always fair’ and when you combine that with that inbuilt ‘rebellious streak’ we know you have and the never ending reservoir of fearless courage that only a true crusader for justice and defender of the venerable among us would have.
You become a nightmare for those who wish to suppress you and your colleague - a couple of names 'spring to mind' but they already seem to be fading away as if running in the opposite direction from you and your banner waving group of protestors.
I thank you Shamima for all that you have done for so many for so long and for what I know you will continue to do into the future.
Without a doubt Fiji is all the better for having a true crusader for justice as you have been for us.
