Campello started her career early: she danced Tico-Tico no Fubá at the age of five in a children's show. At the age of six, she sang at Rádio Cacique in Taubaté, where she spent her childhood. She became one of the participants in the Clube do Guri, at Rádio Difusora de Taubaté. She studied piano, guitar, and ballet during her childhood.
At the age of twelve she already had her own radio program, also on Rádio Cacique. At the age of fifteen (1958) she recorded her first album, in São Paulo, on the other side of the first 78 rotations of her brother Tony Campello, who accompanied her in most of her career as singer and actress. She made her television debut on the program Campeões do Disco, on TV Tupi, in 1958. In 1959 she started her own program with Tony Campello, called Celly and Tony em Hi-Fi, on Rede Record, which she hosted for two years.
Muito Jovem

Vai falar, deixa falar.
Quando vamos juntos caminhando
De repente um beijo nós trocamos
Eu sei, a turma vai falar.
Vai falar, deixa falar
Que eu sou muito broto pra beijar
Que eu não tenho idade para amar
Eu sei a turma vai falar.
A flor é mais bela quando ainda é botão
Meu bem, flor do meu coração.
Somos jovens e a felicidade
Não pediu pra ver a nossa idade
Eu sei que a turma vai falar.
Vai falar, deixa falar
Vai falar, deixa falar.
Eu sei, a turma vai falar.
A flor é mais bela quando ainda é botão
Meu bem, flor do meu coração
Somos jovens e a felicidade
Não pediu pra ver a nossa idade
Eu sei que a turma vai falar.
Vai falar, deixa falar
Vai falar, deixa falar.
Vai falar, deixa falar
Vai falar, deixa falar...
The lyrics of Celly Campello's "Muito Jovem" speak of two young people in love who are aware of the negative opinions that their relationship might attract. The repetition of the line "vai falar, deixa falar" which means "they will talk, let them talk" emphasizes the couple's determination to ignore the judgment of others and focus only on their love for each other. The second verse emphasizes the fact that the couple is young, which is often considered a disadvantage when it comes to mature emotions like love. However, despite this opinion, the couple believes that happiness does not depend on age or societal expectations.
The chorus uses a metaphor comparing the couple's love to a young flower, which is most beautiful when it's just a bud, emphasizing that the couple's love is still in its early stages but it's still beautiful. The lyrics of "Muito Jovem" evoke the image of two young people passionately in love, determined to ignore the opinions of others who do not understand their relationship. It is a declaration of love in the face of adversity, which emphasizes the power of young love, and the freedom to love without restriction.
