Sailing, sailing

Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waiting for me
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing

Somewhere beyond the sea
He's there watching for me
If I could fly like birds on high
Then straight to his arms I'd go sailing

It's far beyond the stars
It's near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon

We'll meet beyond the shore
We'll kiss just like before
Happy we will be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailing

Sailing...

We'll meet, I know we'll meet beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailing
Sailing

No more sailing
No more sailing

Overall Meaning

The song "Beyond the Sea" is a classic romantic ballad that expresses the longing and hope of a lover to be reunited with her partner. The opening line "Sailing, sailing" evokes imagery of a journey through waters, much like a sailor embarking on a voyage. The singer expresses her eagerness to be reconnected with her loved one "Somewhere beyond the sea," and paints a picture of a beautiful scene with "golden sands" and ships sailing gracefully.

As the song progresses, it becomes apparent that the distance between the singer and her lover is vast - "It's far beyond the stars, It's near beyond the moon". However, her faith in love is unwavering, and she trusts that her heart will guide her to her partner again. The thought of being with him again brings her happiness and a sense of completion, as she states "Happy we will be beyond the sea, And never again I'll go sailing".

Overall, "Beyond the Sea" is a timeless love song that captures the essence of yearning and devotion. It is a beautiful expression of the depth of emotions that exist between two people in love, and the hope that emanates from being reunited with a loved one.

Celtic Woman was on a high there , loved that Hayley Westenra joined as well fabulous talent in all and a young Chloe Agnew too. Mairead Nesbitts energy is something else. I purchased this DVD recently and it's superb. Well done to David Downes for bringing this together.👍👍

@@terrybrowning4641 and I would suggest to anybody to go see Celtic Woman even if you're a Metalhead they're just awesome and put on a great show. I would not necessarily say the same thing about Gwar but it would just suggest for anybody 18 to 40 to check them out
