1. Change of Heart was a Canadian alternative rock band. The band was formed in 1982 in Toronto, Ontario, and achieved moderate domestic success in the mid-1990s during the grunge/alternative rock scene of that decade. Videos for the singles "Little Kingdoms" and "Grifter's Plow", from their 1997 album Steelteeth, received substantial airplay on MuchMusic's alternative showcase program The Wedge.
Over the course of the group's lifespan there were numerous personnel changes, with vocalist Ian Blurton being the one mainstay. Other members included drummers Ron Duffy, Glenn Milchem and John Richardson, bassists Rob Taylor, John Borra and Rob Higgins, percussionist Mike Armstrong and keyboardist Bernard Maiezza.
The band had a diverse, genre-defying sound similar to that of King Cobb Steelie, but wrote and played somewhat more conventionally-structured power pop songs than King Cobb Steelie did. The songs on their albums crossed from pop to hard rock to something almost akin to punk.

Change Of Heart Lyrics

Quicksand versus time
Midnight new vibe, confusion contract
Everything is fine
Don't be mistaken
Such a beating holds you to the end
Don't be misguided
When they really yell at your friends
Pull the trigger!
Pull the trigger!
Let the bullet feed the gun
Let the target get it started
Love is raw and i'm one
Sensitive sensory perception
Mass logic broken lines
Smoking lightshow
Triangle of instincts
Peace is geneocide lost tribe
Teacher hands violent
Controlled by lies
Without really explaining why
Well I guess the truth,
it's hard to tell
When the story's based on lies
Through the mountain
Taking stage
Be an ice-age don't be late
Do you trip?
Once or twice?
Like the speedo naked, nice nice, nice!
Don't tell! Salvation!
Citation and creation
Two wives, two fools
To play and who wear the jewels?
Who is the trigger?
Trigger

The lyrics of Change Of Heart's song Trigger portray a sense of confusion and conflict. The lines "Future follow eternity, Quicksand versus time" suggest a struggle between the expectations of the future and the passing of time. The reference to "midnight new vibe, confusion contract" creates a sense of turmoil and unease. However, the line "Everything is fine" seems to contradict this, possibly suggesting a numbness or denial of reality.
The chorus line "pull the trigger, let the bullet feed the gun" has multiple interpretations. It could be a call to action, encouraging someone to make a change or take a risk. Alternatively, it could refer to the destructive consequences of impulsive actions, with the following line "let the target get it started" suggesting a lack of consideration for the impact on others. Overall, the lyrics paint a picture of instability and uncertainty, with the identity of the "trigger" remaining ambiguous.
