I unexpectedly lost my father less than a week ago. This was one of his favorite bands, and one of his favorite songs. I hadn't seen him in years but we connected for the last couple years via telephone. My phone was disconnected for lack of paying my bill, and that happened to be the last day of his life, where he sent me some text messages that I didn't receive until the next day, when he had already passed. Can't really be "game-changers" when your entire sound is based on The Beatles' late '60s period. Jeff Lynne literally said that ELO's objective was to pick up where The Beatles left off. Plenty of music journalists have written about the homage they pay to the Fab Four. Hell, Wikipedia even has an entire page dedicated to how much ELO was influenced by them ("Jeff Lynne and The Beatles"). But yeah, ELO was great.

Yeah I know how you feel and I'm sorry your going through that. When your young and part of a family big or small. You grow up believing family is the most important thing. But before you know it reality kicks in, life happens, and you find yourself alone. I don't know what the circumstances are in your situation. It did so much damage to us and the pain, anger, hatred and resentment. Was and still is too much to face. My dad died in 1997 and my Mom died during Christmas of 2009. I miss her so much! I have had help with my emotional issues. But it still doesn't ease the pain or rid me of the hellish memories I still have. So I just try and live my life as happy as possible. It's the best I can do. I hope that you can find some kind of happiness in your life too.
