I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn
I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs
I crashed my car into the bridge
I don't care, I love it
I don't care
I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn
I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs
I crashed my car into the bridge
I don't care, I love it
I don't care
You're on a different road, I'm in the Milky Way
You want me down on Earth, but I am up in space
You're so damn hard to please, we gotta kill this switch
You're from the '70s, but I'm a '90s bitch
I love it
I love it
I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone
I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn
I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs
I crashed my car into the bridge
I don't care, I love it
I don't care, I love it, I love it
I don't care, I love it
I don't care
You're on a different road, I'm in the Milky Way
You want me down on Earth, but I am up in space
You're so damn hard to please, we gotta kill this switch
You're from the '70s, but I'm a '90s bitch
I don't care, I love it
I don't care, I love it, I love it
I don't care, I love it
I don't care, I love it, I love it
I don't care
I love it
"I Love It" is a song by Charli XCX and Icona Pop, released in 2012. The song expresses a feeling of reckless abandon in the face of a relationship gone wrong. The lyrics describe the singer's reaction to a breakup: she crashes her car, throws her ex's belongings out the window, and sets everything on fire. The song suggests that the singer is trying to distance herself from the pain of the breakup by embracing a carefree, hedonistic lifestyle.
Throughout the song, the singer emphasizes her love for the feeling of freedom and detachment that she experiences in the wake of the breakup, declaring that she doesn't care about the consequences of her actions. The chorus is particularly powerful in this regard, with the repetition of "I don't care, I love it" underscoring the singer's commitment to living her life on her own terms.
The bridge of the song provides some context for the singer's emotional state, suggesting that her ex-partner was a source of frustration and disappointment. She describes him as being "so damn hard to please," while positioning herself as a "90s bitch" who is unapologetic and unwilling to be held back by convention.
