I'll Remember April
Charlie Parker Lyrics

This lovely day will lengthen into evening
We'll sigh goodbye to all we ever had
Alone where we have walked together
I'll remember April and be glad

I'll be content you loved me once in April
Your lips were warm and love and spring were new
I'm not afraid of autumn and her sorrow
For I'll remember April and you
The fire will dwindle into glowing ashes
For flames live such a little while
I won't forget but I won't be lonely
I'll remember April and smile

Parker died in1955 yet 55 years later, his music still rocks. RIP Charlie

@Cristian W. Fath Yes, among other things.

Only 35 years old!.. why?, to much drugs?

Eva Schoenfeld

and now it's another 10 years later and he still rocks

Still an unmatched genius.

One of my favorite albums to listen to while driving around New York on a drizzly Fall day...

Oh my God, this will always be one of my favorites. From the Night and Day Album which is still in my family. There is no description for this except LOVE. No one could put anything across without love and passion for something or someone, even if that love is inspired by music or the music is inspired by love. I will chose the latter! Peace to you....: )

And to you too

Pablo Della Bella

beautiful music!

Believe it or not, this song originally came from an Abbott & Costello movie, " Ride 'em Cowboy ", which also had Ella Fitzgerald in a small featured roll singing " A Tisket, A Tasket ".
