While I agree that if you have a good woman you shouldn't take her for granted, I dont think this is the message he is trying to send. This song is obviously an apology. Forgiveness is a virtue. At the end of the day, you have to do what's right for you, even if that means walking away from a special someone. But thats a different song. This song is begging for forgiveness and wanting his special someone to come back. Sometimes life can get in the way, but never forget who truly cares about you, even if you feel neglected. I'm not excusing his behavior that led to this song, but perhaps 2nd chances are appropriate here. That's just what I think. I just think you misinterpreted the message of this particular song, but you make a strong point regardless. I have always wondered and still do til this day why this guy is so underrated !!! I just don't get it. The guy deserves so much more recognition.... Always loved his lyrics since day one. The radio station of course won't stop playing young thug and other non sense artist of this generation...
