In 2008, iTunes named Chase one of the best new singer/songwriters of the year. Since then, he has continuously been on the iTunes top 100 singer/songwriter chart alongside classic artists such as Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and Nick Drake and great new artists such as William Fitzsimmons, The Weepies and Brett Dennen. Recently, Chase’s song “If the Moon Fell Down Tonight” was featured on an iTunes Essentials Rising Stars compilation.
To date, he has released one full-length CD (Look How Far We’ve Come) and three EPs (Dear Juliet, Goodbyes and Autumn Skies and December), selling more downloads than many of his contemporaries.
This year Chase is recording his first studio album for Universal Republic with a cinematic acoustic and string production that will further distinguish Chase and bring more attention to his music. In addition, Chase has toured extensively this year for the first time bringing his music live to the large fan base he has developed across the U.S. and the world.

I can't help but think of you every day
And I know that it's hard when I'm miles away
But I know we'll be together some day
Fall is gone, Winter is here
I spent all December just wanting you near
So I'm singing these words in the hope that you'll hear
I've fallen in love, honestly
So I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve
In the hope that these notes and the words that I sing make you see
You mean more than the world does to me
Let me be honest with you
When I said I loved you, it was more than the truth
You see, with each lonely night and day that I must go through
Well, they just bring me closer to you
I've fallen in love, honestly
So I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve
In the hope that these notes and the words that I sing make you see
You mean more than the world does to me
I've fallen in love, honestly
So I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve
In the hope that these notes and the words that I sing make you see
You mean more than the world does to me
The lyrics of Chase Coy's "December" speak of a strong love that persists despite physical distance. The singer is clearly missing the person he loves and wishes he could be with them during the winter season. However, he acknowledges that they will be together someday and expresses his love in heartfelt lyrics. The line "I've fallen in love, honestly" shows the sincerity of the singer's emotions towards the person he loves.
The lyrics also show a sense of vulnerability as the singer wears his heart on his sleeve, hoping that his words and notes will make the person he loves see how much they mean to him. The line "You mean more than the world does to me" emphasises the intensity of his love for them.
Overall, the song conveys a sense of longing, hope and love amidst the cold, winter season. Despite the difficulties of distance, the singer's dedication to his love is steadfast and strong.
