Right from the start, the band has shown their protest nature which lead the band to reflect social issues in their lyrics. Most of their songs look at immigration, social inequality and the conflict of interests that look down on human being. In 2002 the band began to play in Barcelona: the streets, the bars, the tube and the suburban trains were their first stages. The band was first noticed internationally through their contribution SIN PAPELES on the sampler LA COLIFATA, which represents the mestizo scene of Barcelona.
They dedicated their debut TRIPPI TOWN (2003) to the Plaza del Trippi (George Orwell Square), the place where they met. The album is a product of many different musical influences: a journey through reggae, ragga, punk-latin and argentinian folklore. A subsequent tour followed through Europe (France, Belgium, Italy, Spain). Lots of shows and lots of friends from all over the world… a great influence for their second album: ALERTA BIHOTZA!!! (2005)
It is a multicultural album that takes the listener to the reggae-punk energy the band irradiates in their live shows. For the production, the band enlisted Gambeat, Radio Bemba's bassist, who is the responsible both for the harder sound and for the elaboration of their extreme energetic live show. The album also counts on some special guests appearances: Fermin Muguruza (Kortatu, Negu Gorriak), Yacine (Cheb Balowski, Nour), Dede Trake (Cannabistro), Gambeat (Radio Bemba, French Lovers, Piratas Urbanos) and Lina (Azaiza).
More than 2 years and 300 gigs... A tour through Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Italy, Spain, France, Holland and Argentina... Now, CHE SUDAKA comes back with MIRANDO EL MUNDO AL REVÉS (2007), a new acoustic cd which is released together with a dvd including a documentary about the band, an interview and some other extra files. The album features some special friends appearances: Amparo Sánchez (Amparanoïa), Un Kuartito and Karamelo Santo (both bands from Argentina).
As when they played in the streets of Barcelona, their positive energy and the willingness to give it all to the audience are the most remarkable attributes of CHE SUDAKA.

Te preguntas cada manana si continuar?
Te preguntas cada manana sera posible?
Te preguntas cada manana sera verdad?
Te preguntas cada manana por tu pasado?
Te preguntas cada manana por qué paso?
Te preguntas si tus rencores has superado?
For the human race!
Soberbia mata! Sobertbia asesina! (lo cantaba Marley, lo cantaba the Clash)
Soberbia hiere! Soberbia elimina!
(Harry Bellafonte y Facundo Cabral)
Soberbia mata! Sobertbia asesina!
(Ranking Roger y B-Negao)
Soberbia hiere! Soberbia elimina!
(Radio Bemba y Manu Chao)
(The specials y también Johnny Cash)
tu plan no funciona desperaras
escondés la soberbia estrategia habitual
vivi como pensas como vivas
la soberbia tuya y mia
quita coherencia y la sabiduria
es la soberbia de noche de dia
ese disfraz que nunca veia
hombres y mujeres a todos contamina
hace que te pongas a la defensiva
esa actitud ya no es positiva
se carga tu mente y se carga tu vida!

The lyrics to Che Sudaka's "Soberbia" are introspective and questioning, and they ask the listener to consider their own actions and motivations. The repetition of "te preguntas cada mañana" (you ask yourself every morning) creates a sense of self-doubt and uncertainty, as if the singer is constantly second-guessing their decisions and path in life. The questions themselves range from philosophical ("será verdad" - is it true) to personal ("tus rencores has superado" - have you overcome your grudges) to musical ("eres feliz con lo que toco" - are you happy with what you play).
The chorus, featuring a multitude of artists and languages, declares that "soberbia mata" (arrogance kills) and "soberbia hiere" (arrogance hurts). The artists cited - including Bob Marley, Ruben Blades, Manu Chao, and Johnny Cash - all have a history of socially-conscious and politically-charged music. The reference to pride or arrogance being a negative force echoes similar sentiments in other protest songs, where self-importance and a disregard for others' well-being is seen as a destructive force.
The verses themselves describe the effects of pride or self-importance, which are often hidden or disguised. They compare arrogance to a "castle of cards" that may collapse at any moment, and note the difficulty in admitting fault or apologizing. The final line, "se carga tu mente y se carga tu vida" (it burdens your mind and your life), sums up the theme of the song - that arrogance or pride can have disastrous consequences.
