@4:16 This is also good way of remembering when the laam in al / أل is silent or not. If a laam before a word is silent, the letter after it will have a shaddah on it. For example الصّيد (sun letter). When the laam is not silent, it will have a vowel /harakah on it. For example, الْقمر (moon letter).

I have a question in arabic, when you say like as salam alaykum, why do you write it alsalam alaykum? like you pronounce it as salam alaykum, like in english we say like to Knowledge, we say nowledg, but the thing is, in english certain letters are not pronounced, but in arabic a AL is pronounced differently, even though in other cases its pronounced properly as al, in english knowledge stays knowledge and it does not change, but in arabic the al keeps on changing depending on what youre saying for example, alKitab the al is pronounced as al, but in alsamad its said like, as samad, and then in alnoor its said annoor, why is it so, can you please give a understandable and easy to follow explanation? Thank you very much anyone who sees this comment and has knowledge about it, please share your knowledge, it may help me to understand more about Arabic writing etc, for I am only a Turkish guy, who wants to learn arabic, because of the Qur'aan, and because of the beauty of the language, and if I speak arabic properly, then I actually mastered my own language, Turkish.

I'll give you a short answer, but there is a video on my list about that topic, so wait for that too in shaa Allah.
Saying Al-salam Alikom, and as-slamo alikom .. both are fine, because neither of them are proper words, they are transliteration.
Transliteration has one goal, which is to deliver the message and know what I mean. So spell however you want, it doesn't matter.
But when it comes to Arabic, you have to spell it out correctly, otherwise it is wrong, just like we can't spell 'nowledge' like that .. because they are proper words.

@@Al-Ibrahim@Al-Ibrahim it broke my heart cuz hundred years ago i think so many things like that were easy to them for Turkish people cuz we have the same litters and many words , any way , it's called - اللام الشمسية والقمرية - which mean that the Arabic words Which start by ( AL ال ) we can spell it according to it's difficult in two ways either like ( As salam السلام which its spelling like Ashams الشمس cuz it's hard to pronounce L ل ) or if it's easy to spell like ( AL kittab الكتاب which is like AL Qamar القمر- easy to spell ! ) hope this help u and our brother in sha'Allah will helping us to understand it more farther in vedios 😁🤍
