She suffered from Bacterial Meningitis in 2005, and almost lost her life. Then in 2006, in a "spur of the moment" decision, she decided to take part in Pussycat Dolls Present. As well, she became Miss West Brodward USA 2007 at the age of 19 and competed in Miss Florida USA. Chelsea is ethnically Greek.
Thanks to her voice, admired by both contestants, judges and often compared to Christina Aguilera's, Korka made it to the semi-finals, where she was one of the girls who got sick, compromising her chances, but Robin Antin felt she was the girl with the most potential, and decided to have her move on to the next round. Throughout the competition she struggled with her dancing and had an underlying feud with fellow contestant Melissa Smith about it. Yet, even though the final four elimination round featured harsh choreography, she moved on together with Melissa Reyes, and Asia Nitollano. She finished third and many of her fans felt it was because of her strong vocals which would have outshined some of the other dolls.

I remember Chelsea from the tv show that the "Pussycat Dolls" presented...something like 'Search for the next Pussycat Doll' (or something like that). This girl has a voice of an Angel! And, I know she wasn't as good of a dancer as the rest of the contestants when she first got there, but she had the BEST voice! And the fact that a non-dancer could pick up the choreography as good & quick as she did...well it just goes to show EXACTLY how talented she really is!
