Chelsea Joy Wolfe was born in Roseville, California, and grew up in Sacramento. She is of Norwegian and German descent. Her father was in a country band and owned a home studio. By the age of 7, she had written her first poem and by the age of 9, she had written and recorded songs which she later described as "basically Casio-based gothy R&B songs."
Inspired by the dark state of the world and the strange connection between all things, she creates a unique musical blend of goth-folk, experimental rock and spiritual realm funeral songs. With influences ranging from the great minds of Ingmar Bergman and David Lynch to Soviet and end-times literature, her songs conjure visions of other dimensions, claustrophobic echo-rooms and parking garage cathedrals.
Wolfe has recorded seven full length studio albums: The Grime and the Glow, which was released on December 28th, 2010 on limited vinyl through Brooklyn’s Pendu Sound Recordings; Ἀποκάλυψις (pronounced “Apokalypsis”), which was released as a 12” LP on August 23rd, 2011; Unknown Rooms: a Collection of Acoustic Songs, which was released on October, 2012 through Sargent House; Pain Is Beauty, out September 3rd, 2013; Abyss, which was released August 7th, 2015; and Hiss Spun, out September 22nd, 2017; Birth of Violence[7i] which was released on September 13th, 2019.

Sid your love is a pain
Said my love is an empire
Said get out of the way
Demons demons demons demons
Sid get out of the way
Said your love is a waste
Said no one if I can't have her
Said no one - he's a fake
Sid get out of the way
Sid your love is a pain
Said my love is an empire
Sid get out of the way
Demons demons demons demons
In Chelsea Wolfe's song "Bounce House Demons," the lyrics are repetitive and simple, yet there is an underlying sense of darkness and frustration that is being expressed. The lines "Sid get out of the way" and "Sid your love is a pain" are repeated throughout the song and are directed towards this character named Sid, who seems to be causing some sort of disturbance. The repetition of these lines makes it clear that this person is unwanted and is disrupting the singer's life. The line "Said my love is an empire" is a stark contrast to the negative feelings towards Sid. It's almost like the singer is asserting her own power and stating that her love is strong and can overcome this disturbance.
The repeated use of the word "demons" adds to the overall feeling of darkness and turmoil. It seems like the singer is battling some inner demons that are related to this person named Sid. Perhaps Sid is someone from the singer's past who she is trying to move on from. The line "Said no one if I can't have her" suggests that Sid may be a love interest of some sort, but the singer is asserting that this person is a fake and is not worth the trouble.
