He's callin' me twice a night then callin' again
When I talk he likes to listen
He says I'm the one he's been missin'
Somebody tell me he isn't
[Chorus]
Just another heartache
Another bad lie another goodbye
Lookin' for another heart to break
Maybe I'm too cautious for my own good
Maybe he's the real deal knock on wood
All I know is he'll be here in a minute
I hope it's love and I hope he's in it
I'll be over my limit with
[Chorus]
This better be somethin' more
I want to be sure that I'm not fallin'
I'm not fallin' for
Just another heartache
Just another heartache
Another bad lie another goodbye lookin' for a
Just another heartache
Just another heartache
Another bad lie another goodbye lookin' for another heart
Another bad lie another goodbye lookin' for another
Heart to break
In Chely Wright's song "Just Another Heartache," the singer is falling in love with a man who calls her twice a night and likes to listen to her talk. She believes that he is the one she's been missing, but she's hesitant to fully trust him. She questions whether he is just another heartache, just another man who will lie to her and ultimately break her heart. The chorus repeats the phrase "just another heartache" and emphasizes the idea of looking for another heart to break.
The singer acknowledges her cautious nature and wonders if she's too guarded for her own good. She hopes that this man is the real deal and that he'll prove to be different from the others. She wants to be sure that she's not falling for just another heartache. The song ends with a repetition of the chorus, further highlighting the singer's fear and doubt about this potential relationship.
Overall, the lyrics of "Just Another Heartache" convey the challenges of navigating love and relationships, particularly when past experiences have been painful. The song expresses the desire for love and connection, while also acknowledging the risks of opening oneself up to another person.

Love Chely's music but it is also about the person for me; and Chely has a reputation as being a good and giving person. She's made mistakes and done things out of fear like all of us and I am happy that she is finally whole and I hope she finds happiness and true love!

I love adore her. She is by far one of my all-time favorite singers on this planet. I could care less about what she has done in the past or about her being gay. If it was not for her music and for her I would not be alive today. I have had the privilege of seeing her a couple of times in concert and getting to meet her. She is one of the kindest and caring artist I have ever gotten to meet. I told her my story and how much Shut Up and Drive means to me and she dedicated the song to me and came over and sang it to me personally. It was one of the most special moments I have ever had in my entire life and will never forget it. I get to see her again in concert next month and can't wait.
