I am listening to this while my husband is in the hospital. And I am bawling my eyes out as I single along as if it were a prayer for his healing. He is everything to me, the reason I am alive and stay alive.... and I can't live without him even for a night. He is all that is good in my life, and I can't bear the thought of losing him.
Edit: He is now, back home, and back to work. When he came home, he held me and sang it to me as I wept, told me I am his inspiration because without me, he would have given up. Thank you to all the kind words.

@@DaisyDukester Well, he and I are millennials, I was 4 when the song came out and he wasn't born until a year later but age doesn't matter when it comes to great music. The song just meant everything to us and after being together for more than 20 years (married 19 of them), we are each others inspiration. He got me through some of my worst times, and has been helping me heal from the ones he couldn't be there for. We endured homelessness, deaths, and children loss together. We had our falling outs but still clung to each other. Mine and his love was meant to be. People are shocked that we have been together this long while everyone else our age has been getting divorced before they reach the 5 year mark.
Sorry to ramble... I just miss my soulmate and won't see him again for at least a week and I hate it.
