Don't expect choreographed jumps and contrived head bangs - and don't for a second think that it will stay on the stage. Actually, go ahead and forget there is a stage. Chinese Happy strives to break down the barrier between audience and band, including anyone who is present at the show to be a part the performance. They routinely invite anyone onstage to sing with them (and occasionally to play their instruments) who would like to. No gimmicks- just family.
Chinesehappy plays a variety of different styles of rock music, but rather than identify with a specific scene or genre, they prefer to identify with people and ideas. Among these are positivity, nonviolence, the urgency of continually questioning ALL authority, acceptance of your brothers, sisters and androgynous intersex ze's for who they are -regardless of age, race or disability, raising up what we as people have in common and celebrating our differences as opposed to fearing them.
chinesehappy will play ANYWHERE pretty much ANYTIME. Theyve toured locally and nationally now playing anywhere from basements and inside public restrooms, to premier venues and festivals. Hopefully they will see YOU soon.

Chinese Happy Lyrics

The lyrics of the song Annie by Chinese Happy begins with the line "Mommy! How did it get so dreadfully cold in here?", which sets the tone for the entire song. The song appears to be about a child named Annie who is struggling to understand why things in her life are not the way she wants them to be. She expresses her confusion and sadness to her mother, hoping for an answer or solution. The song touches upon themes such as loneliness, longing, and the search for meaning in life.
As the song progresses, Annie's emotions become more intense, and she sings in a more desperate tone. She questions whether everyone else is feeling the same way she is and if there is any hope for change. The lyrics also suggest that Annie is experiencing some sort of internal conflict that is causing her pain, as she sings "I'm at war with my mind", suggesting that her thoughts and feelings are at odds with each other. The song ends on a hopeful note, with Annie singing about how she will keep on trying to find her way in life, even in spite of the difficulties she may face.
