Bitch you ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
Bitch you ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
Bitch you ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me

Tha pretty gangsta checking in
It's about time I talk my shit
I used to dim my light to let y'all shine
But y'all can kiss that shit goodbye
I'm tired of being silenced
I woke up and chose violence
Gon be on my worst behavior like a bad bitch is mindless
They don't really know me
They only know what they see
And I deserve an apology
They ask from who
I say from me
Cause I'm the reason they was sleep
I was sleeping on me
I was suppressing my dreams
I was too worried bout their opinions and what they would think
But that day is gone
I'm waking these bitches up you can call me an alarm
I'm the motherfucking rooster at the ass crack of dawn
And ain't no snooze button Im the clock that stay on

Bitch you ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
Bitch you ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
Bitch you ain't fucking with me
Y'all ain't fucking with me at all
I'm here to let you know that this your wake up call

And I ain't letting up
Cause I don't think they had enough
I had to show em that I'm really hard bitch I'm tough
My foot is on your neck and I don't give a fuck
Hmm
They thought I was done
But I'm going back in with it
They gon have to deal with it
I gave it to em once switched my flow and they can still get it
I'm the gift that keeps giving
Pretty is how I'm sitting
And on these bitches Im gon keep on shitting
They should've never tried to play with me
Fake confidence low self esteem
But like I said on the last one bitch Im getting back to me
Had a conversation with Mimi
She said read them their pedigree
So I got on here to say that y'all ain't fucking with me
I'm done being bad in private
Sitting in the corner quiet
But I shine without trying
Fill up the room just by smiling
And this is the thanks I get
For being the prototype the muse and that bitch

Bitch you ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
Bitch you ain't fucking with me
None of you hoes ain't fucking with me
Bitch you ain't fucking with me

Y'all ain't fucking with me at all
I'm here to let you know that this your wake up call

Overall Meaning

In the song "Wake Me Up" by Chloe and Halle, the lyrics express the idea of the singer's confidence and self-love. The song's chorus repeatedly states, "Bitch you ain't fucking with me, none of you hoes ain't fucking with me," which is an assertion of her worth and equality with others. It is a command for others not to underestimate her or her abilities, and it references her struggles in the past that she's now rising above. She's encouraging others to take notice of her talent and hard work and that she's not going to accept less.

The singer speaks of her journey towards self-empowerment further in the song, detailing how she used to dim her light in the past, but she's now finished doing that. She discusses how she was previously too worried about other people's opinions and how this held her back from achieving her dreams. Still, she has now awoken to the fact that she was the only one standing in her way, and she deserves an apology from herself.

Chloe's Falsetto is EVERYTHING!!!! And Halle's uniqueness is just jaw dropping! Man if i could sing half as good i'd be honored!

Jes96

I think people are comparing the two too harshly.. They obviously have very different genre type voices.. Ones more rnb and the other is very pop/alternative. In my opinion they're both very unique in their own way and can surely sing. It's hardly fair to even measure the two up to each other when they're both so different! And besides their harmonies are great together so one going 'solo' would just be a shame.

@I’m Just Saying Hi comment from 4 yrs ago....

Anyways Halle is more like Ariel with a mix of mariah carey nd Alicia keys.

Viper

Haven’t heard anyone compare them harshly or against one another.

Yes, Halle fell in love with Jazz at a very young age, so that is why her sound is so jazz orientated, and as a result, now that we are in 2017, her voice is jazzy, soulful, indie, pop and almost operatic in tone, depending on song choice. But, back when this video was made and before she was still perfecting her pitch and tone. And it is now a lot more powerful, then it was. And I've noticed she has started to get even more R&B in sound so improving all the time.

ilovebloodredapples Good point.....i felt the 2nd artist had a more jazzy sound like a Chrisette Michelle......

Denise Martinez

The girls voice in the light grey is so deep and controled and the other girls voice is so calm and unique like their voices r so different but they sound so good together i hope they get really famouse

Shayla Akridge
