"Lux aeterna luceat eis, Domine, cum sanctis tuis in aeternum, quia pius es.
Requiem aeternam
dona eis, Domine,
et lux perpetua leceat eis.

May light eternal shine upon them, O Lord, with Thy saints forever,
for Thou art Kind.
Eternal rest
give to them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them."

I can never get through this without disolving into tears! All my life it's been like this, whatever version (orchestral, choral, even brass band!) What is this magical sequence of notes that makes this piece so different, so sublimely beautiful? A hymn to all that is good in humanity ... Pure emotion .......

@rickstyles2902

David Hopkins absolutely wonderful

@jimflex6341

Listening while reading my payslip does it for me!

@juliesavage283

Listen to Matthew Curtis doing all of the parts to this piece.
Also, his renditions of Biebl's "Ave Maria" and Barber's "Agnus Dei."

Can you recommend any other pieces of music that you have found so totally moving that you can feel your chemistry change?

Classical, but also any genre: pop soloists, movie soundtracks, etc. I am exploring the world of music pretty late in life, but better late than never.

@unklejon4690

This was my mums favourite music. We played it at her funeral. This sounds even more amazing when played in an acoustically perfect church

@teogambii9046

Simply sublime

@TheOktavismChannel

Wonderful. Wasn't expecting that substantial Db/C# from the basses at the end! Perfect.

@ncpiedmontone

a powerful and ethereal reminder that there are greater things than us in the universe......

@jomarivelasco5260

Divine power comes not from a greater being, but from one's own mind...

@pondeflauers

Thank you from all my heart...
