arabesque (real name: Michal Horák) is the producer of Chouchou's music and was born in 1979 in Tokyo to a Czech father (Jan Horák) and a Japanese mother. His father was a professor at Musashino Academia Musicae Tokyo, therefore he is a classically trained pianist who started playing at the age of three. After arabesque graduated, he traveled to Austria to devote himself to the study of the piano. He has won a number of awards in classical piano, held solo recitals, and performed in chamber and full orchestra concerts. He started composing and producing music when he was in high school and after going through many experiences, he found a new style of expressing himself artistically by starting Chouchou. He is also part of music duo Orcaorca, along with guitarist and multi-instrumentalist maya Kawadias.
juliet was born in Japan and raised in Tokyo. As a teenager, she traveled to the United States by herself in the late 90s and graduated with a BFA in fashion design from one of the world's best art universities in New York. While she was gaining experience working in the New York fashion industry after her graduation, her talent as a singer was discovered by arabesque. Together, they started Chouchou to search for new possibilities in the collaboration of music and art. She also directs the visual concept of the project, including album artwork, web design, and the design of their virtual presentations.
It is a general misconception that juliet and arabesque met through Second Life, in fact, they know each other since high school. However, they got engaged in early 2016 and married at the end of the year. She gave birth to their daughter in late March 2018 and to their son in 2020.

Chouchou Lyrics

I'll be your wings to fly you away"
I'll be your moon with a hundred stars"
"if you cry, I'll stand by your side"
whenever you gave the hope to me
blue
now you are falling deep into doom
I won't cry
someday we'll all fade into blue
ah
can you hear me
can you still hear me say, "I love you."
but now I have to say goodbye to you
with my love
without you
I will go
I'll count sheep for you for 10 years"
I'll be your light to show your way"
the stars are crying
the skies are falling
sheep come to me to remind me of your words
"if you cry on the day we part, please hold my hand
and I will give you one last kiss to say goodbye to you"
blue
now you are falling deep into doom
I won't cry
someday we'll all fade into blue
ah
what you sowed is growing inside of my heart
my trembling heart
so I smile in the sunlight
and stand up to grow another tiny tiny tree of you
can you see me
I'm here under the blue sky
see me
I'm sowing the seed
the seed of you and me
The lyrics of Chouchou's song "Spira" can be interpreted as a promise of eternal love, even beyond death. The singer's lover seems to be going through a difficult time, falling deep into doom, and the singer promises to be there for them always, to show them a thousand skies, to fly them away, and to be their moon with a hundred stars. The singer promises to stand by their side if they cry and counts sheep for them for ten years, which symbolizes time passing quickly, but their love remaining strong.
The second part of the song takes a melancholic turn, with the singer acknowledging that someday they will have to say goodbye to their lover, but the love they share will never fade. It is interesting to note that the color blue is prominent throughout the song, symbolizing sadness and loss, but also the depth of their love for each other. The singer also mentions "sowing the seed of you and me," which can be interpreted as leaving a legacy and a lasting memory of their love. Overall, the lyrics of "Spira" are emotional and poignant, representing the powerful connection between two individuals in love.
