The Lord is my light
God is the source of enlightenment and direction in my life

God is my source of joy, peace, and fulfillment

The Word of God is my security...
I am secure in my faith and trust in God and His Word

God's power and authority is with me

Why should I be afraid?
With God's power and protection, there is no need for fear

So when the dogs surround me to eat my flesh
Even in the face of danger and attack

When the seige is laid around my city
When I am under attack, physically or emotionally

For the darkness be like the darkest night
Even in times of deep darkness or confusion

I shall not be afraid
I still trust in God to provide guidance and protection

Cos the roar of the King in the midst of all His people
God's power is present and active in the midst of all believers
