Having lived in London most of the 90's, Joss digested the vibrant music scenes of the city while working as a sound engineer and playing bass & guitar in bands.
in 96 he records his first album The Man With a Suitcase, the soundtrack to an imaginary 60's TV series, a tribute to Lalo Schifrin, John Barry, Quincy Jones, Laurie Johnson. Released in '99 on indie label Pulp Flavor with the Bombay By Bus EP.
2000: Chris starts recording his second LP "Dr Rhythm" released confidentially in 02 by Irma. Encompassing electronica, breakbeat, funk and soundtrack music, Dr Rhythm upped the ante for Joss' musical catalogue. Remixes by Madrid de los Austrias and Dublex Inc. come out in 03.
In 2004 his third LP "You've Been Spiked" is released by ESL Music. With its thick funky bass lines, wah-wah guitars, Rhodes and Hammond riffs pulsating over live rootsy drums, this album is a vibrant tribute to 60's and 70's dance music.
Remixes by Ursula 1000 & Fort Knox Five come out in 05, Kraak & Smaak in Feb 06
In 05, thanks to Bill Coleman's Peace Bisquit, Chris contributes to the soundtrack of the movie "Inside Deep Throat", reworking original songs and producing new ones, some available on Koch.
Remixes: Jody Watley, Joe Bataan, Fischerspooner, Concorde Music Club, Yerba Buena, Woody Herman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Praful, Thunderball and production for NY rapper Cazwell.
Chris's music can be heard in movies, TV shows, series & video games.
Included in over 40 compilations, Joss has just completed his 4th album, coming out in October 07 on ESL. The Superman EP will come out in July 07 featuring remixes by Basement Freaks and Plastilina Mosh.

Were you in a band called Root Juice in Seattle? I saw a 3 or 4 piece group (don't remember) perform in a very small venue, where I worked at the time, called The Trolleyman Pub. They were extremely young, either still in high school or right out of. I was there on my day off and just relaxed and enjoyed the music. I was so impressed I bought the two CDs they were selling. To this day I still listen to them. Lately I've really been obsessing with the violet colored one (don't remember the album title and it's in the car .. it's cold outside ..). It's amazing. I found this channel because I was looking to see what became of this group. Was this the same Root Juice? This would have been in the late 90's probably or early 2000's. If not the same Root Juice I still dig this track. Thank you.
