After serving as the frontman of bluegrass group The SteelDrivers from 2008 to 2010, Stapleton released his debut studio album Traveller in 2015, which reached number one on the US Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Among several accolades, he won the Country Music Association Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards for Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, and the Grammy Award for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance at the 58th annual ceremony. His second studio album, From A Room: Volume 1 was released on May 5, 2017, reached number two on the US Billboard 200, and to date has surpassed 500,000 units sold. Six months later, Stapleton released follow-up album, From A Room: Volume 2, which, like its predecessor, debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200.
Stapleton was born in a Lexington, Kentucky hospital. His mother worked at the local health department and his father was a coal miner. He comes from a family of coal miners.[12][13] He has an older brother and younger sister.[14][15]
Stapleton grew up in the small town of Staffordsville, Kentucky, which is located just outside of Paintsville, located between the city and the Paintsville lake. He graduated from Johnson Central High School where he was his class valedictorian and attended Vanderbilt University where he studied engineering, but dropped out after a year.
Stapleton is married to singer-songwriter Morgane Hayes, who co-wrote Carrie Underwood's 2006 single "Don't Forget to Remember Me". She had a recording deal with Arista Nashville. The couple met when they were working at adjacent publishing houses. They have two children and live in Nashville.

Everything changes like the desert wind
Here she comes and then she's gone again
I'm just a traveler on this earth
Sure as my heart's behind the pocket of my shirt
I just keep rolling 'til I'm in the dirt
'Cause I'm a traveler, oh, I'm a traveler
Where I'm going but I've got to go
'Cause every turn reveals some other road
And I'm a traveler, oh, I'm a traveler
My heartbeat's rhythm is a lonesome sound
Just like the rubber turning on the ground
Always lost and nowhere bound
I'm just a traveler on this earth
Sure as my heart's behind the pocket of my shirt
I just keep rolling 'til I'm in the dirt
'Cause I'm a traveler, oh, I'm a traveler
I couldn't tell you honey, I don't know
Where I'm going but I've got to go
'Cause every turn reveals some other road
And I'm a traveler, oh, I'm a traveler
When I'm gone
Somebody else will have to feel this wrong
Somebody else will have to sing this song
Somebody else will have to sing along
Sing along
I'm just a traveler on this earth
Sure as my heart's behind the pocket of my shirt
I just keep rolling 'til I'm in the dirt
'Cause I'm a traveler, oh, I'm a traveler
I couldn't tell you honey, I don't know
Where I'm going but I've got to go
'Cause every turn reveals some other road
And I'm a traveller, oh, I'm a traveller
In Chris Stapleton's song "Traveller," he uses the metaphor of travelling to express his feelings of restlessness and uncertainty in life. The opening line, "I see the sunrise creeping in, Everything changes like the desert wind," indicates that change is a constant factor in life, and just like the desert wind, everything is fleeting and temporary. This line sets the tone for the rest of the song, which talks about life as a never-ending journey.
Stapleton's lyrics in "Traveller" reveal his philosophy of life - that he is merely a traveler on this earth, and he is always looking for his next adventure. He sings about his heartbeat being a lonesome sound, symbolizing his feelings of isolation and the desire to move forward in life. The lyrics "I'm just a traveler on this earth, Sure as my heart's behind the pocket of my shirt, I just keep rolling 'til I'm in the dirt" emphasize the point that he is merely a traveler on this planet, and he is happy to continue his journey as long as he is alive.
The final lines of the song, "When I'm gone, Somebody else will have to feel this wrong, Somebody else will have to sing this song, Somebody else will have to sing along," reflect on the inevitability of death and the idea that someone else will have to carry on with his journey once he is gone. Overall, Stapleton's "Traveller" is a reflective and introspective song that encourages listeners to embrace life's journey and to keep moving forward even when the future seems uncertain.

I see the sunrise creeping in
I observe the dawn slowly breaking
Everything changes like the desert wind
Everything is transient, like the shifting sands of a desert
Here she comes and then she's gone again
Her presence is fleeting, disappearing as fast as she arrived
I'm just a traveler on this earth
I am merely passing through this world
Sure as my heart's behind the pocket of my shirt
As certain as my heartbeat, ever-present beneath my clothing
I just keep rolling 'til I'm in the dirt
I keep moving forward until I die and am buried in the ground
'Cause I'm a traveler, oh, I'm a traveler
Because I am on a constant journey, always traveling
I couldn't tell you honey, I don't know
I cannot provide an answer, my destination is unknown
Where I'm going but I've got to go
I must continue on my path, onward
'Cause every turn reveals some other road
Because with each new direction I take, a new path is revealed
My heartbeat's rhythm is a lonesome sound
The beat of my heart sounds solitary and melancholy
Just like the rubber turning on the ground
Just like the wheels of my vehicle rotating on the road
Always lost and nowhere bound
I am always feeling lost and wandering aimlessly
When I'm gone
When I am no longer around
Somebody else will have to feel this wrong
Someone else will have to experience this sense of discontent
Somebody else will have to sing this song
Someone else will have to perform this melody
Somebody else will have to sing along
Someone else will have to join in and harmonize
I'm just a traveler on this earth
I am just a transient presence passing through this world
Sure as my heart's behind the pocket of my shirt
As certain as the steady beat of my heart beneath my clothing
I just keep rolling 'til I'm in the dirt
I keep pushing forward until I finally pass away
'Cause I'm a traveler, oh, I'm a traveler
Because I am always journeying, ever traveling
I couldn't tell you honey, I don't know
I cannot give an answer as to where I am headed
Where I'm going but I've got to go
I must keep moving forward, even if I am uncertain where I will ultimately end up
'Cause every turn reveals some other road
Each turn I take opens up new avenues to explore
And I'm a traveller, oh, I'm a traveller
And I am a restless wanderer, always on the move

Eu vejo o nascer do Sol rastejando
Quando eu me for
Alguém vai ter que sentir esta errado
Alguém vai ter que cantar esta canção
Alguém vai ter que cantar junto
Cante junto

I can't believe this guy spent most of his time writing for other artists. He sounds so much better than most of the more famous artists that used his songs.
