Admit it, baby.
'Cause I'm wise to your disguise.
I've seen you love me with your eyes.
Even if you think I'm a fool and I just can't tell,
then you don't know me well.
Would you come over here and break the ice?
It would be so nice.
It's what you want when you're around me.
You're a little bit shy and I feel the need.
And I can tell that you're happy you found me.
So give it up.
Why wait around when you know that you feel it?
I look through your eyes I can see that you want somebody.
It could feel so good to get into it.
Give it up! Give it up! You want it, baby.
Give it up! Give it up! You know you got me.
Come on come on come on and give it up.
I can't I can't lie to you.
Now we can all tell stories so come over here and love me.
Even if you think I'm a fool and I just can't tell, sorry I know you well.
And I know you will. Come over here an love me.
So dream your way into my life.
'Cause baby, I'll give you tonight
and bring all your pictures to life.
Give it up! Give it up! Give it up!
Give it up! Give it up . Give it up.
Just give it up. Give it up.
Give it up! Give it up! yea.
Give it up! Give it up!
Come on come on come on come on.
Give it up! Give it up.
Won't you give it up, baby, tonight?
'Cause you know you know that it's right.
Now come on. Let's give it up.
Come on, baby.
Give it up! Give it up! Yea.
Give it up! Give it up!
Give it up!
It could feel so good to get into it.
It feels so good.
Chris Wilson's song Give It Up is a love song about a man trying to encourage a shy and hesitant lover to admit their feelings and give in to their desires. The opening lines, "You can't hide it from me. Admit it, baby. 'Cause I'm wise to your disguise. I've seen you love me with your eyes." suggest that the man is aware of the woman's feelings and sees through her attempts to hide or deny them. He urges her to take action and "come over here and break the ice" so that they can both enjoy what they clearly want.
The chorus, "It's what you want when you're around me. You're a little bit shy and I feel the need. And I can tell that you're happy you found me. So give it up." reinforces the idea that the woman is attracted to the man but is too shy to make a move. However, the man can sense her desire and encourages her to take the plunge, suggesting that it will feel good for both of them.
The final lines of the song, "Come on, baby. Give it up! Give it up! Yea. Give it up! Give it up! Give it up! It could feel so good to get into it. It feels so good." express the ecstasy that the man believes will follow if the woman gives into her desires and makes a move toward him. Overall, the song is an uplifting and empowering love song that celebrates the power of attraction and encourages people to be bold and honest about their feelings.

on Landlocked
LANDLOCKED - Chris Wilson
Blood and jasmine linger, high upon the wind
As the mastheads chime across the bay
Memories swirl in eddies, as the pontoons dip and sway
Navigation by shooting stars
And deeper currents left on poetry(?)
She reaches out to touch him
And he gently turns away
Wishes, and hopes, and quiet expectations
Fade away like smoke rings, through the trees
They both wait for a change to come
Like ships becalmed upon a sea
Landlocked. Faithless. And free
Her photograph becomes a faded epitaph
For a time they had, but couldn't hold
Words like embers shimmer, and grow cold
She's scarred his soul with lantern and iron ball
She seeks redemption in the reeds
She surrenders in the shallows
As the evening tide recedes
Wishes, and hopes, and quiet expectations
Fade away like smoke rings, through the trees
They both wait for change to come
Like ships becalmed upon a sea
Landlocked. Faithless. And free
