Moonlight
Christ Agony Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Sonnet of the witches
Sounds the kiss of death
The trinity of omnipotance-
-The triangle of blasphemy

With the fourth thunder
The Pentateuch was closed
The six mysteries-
-The sixth lie

The moonlight shines with demon's scream
I am the heart
I am the soul
Moonlight

Psalm of the seven signs
Eternity above my death
Is the spell
Is the domination of the gloom

The moonlight shines with demon's scream
I am the heart
I am the soul
Moonlight

The black art
Is the power of suffering
The black circle
Is the pearl of the sad throne
My despair
Is the sceptre of passion
The mass of God
Is the call ogf the whores
In the dusk of fire...

Three marks of the gloom
Areon my face
Flames of eternity
The might of moon's beauty
The love of the night
Embraces the blasphemies of gods
With oblivion
Nothingness of dreams
In pagan ritual
Debased

My rebel
My soul despair
My rebel
The union in the gloom

The moonlight shines with demon's scream
I am the heart

I am the soul
Moonlight...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Christ Agony's song Moonlight are packed with metaphors of darkness and magic, invoking feelings of rebellion, pain, and power. The opening line, "Sonnet of the witches," is a reference to a poetic form commonly used by Shakespearean witches to cast spells. The "kiss of death" in the second line suggests a fatal and final outcome, while the "trinity of omnipotence" and the "triangle of blasphemy" invoke notions of divine power being subverted by dark magic.

The fourth thunder mentioned in the song signals the end of the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Hebrew Bible. The "six mysteries" and the "sixth lie" are less clear in their meaning, but they seem to imply that there is a secret knowledge that is hidden from most people and that the truth is often distorted or obscured. The moonlight, which shines "with demon's scream," is a recurring image throughout the song, symbolizing a sinister force that is both attractive and repugnant.

The second half of the song touches on themes of pain, suffering, and the dark arts. The "black art" is described as the power of suffering, while the "black circle" represents a sad and melancholic throne. The mass of God is juxtaposed with the call of the whores, suggesting a moral ambiguity that is unsettling. The final verse paints a vivid picture of pagan rituals debased by nothingness and dreams, while the rebel and the union in the gloom speak of an intense longing for something that is both forbidden and irresistible.

Overall, Moonlight is a song that explores the darker aspects of human existence and the allure of the unknown and the forbidden.

Ave Cezar!!!!!
Only my semen
Full moon it is
Only my semen
Solitary night it is
Only my semen
Full moon it is
Only my semen
Diabolical wind it is

...Mephistospell...
...Mephistospell...

Only my blood
Is the devilish truth
In the maze of my soul...

@KOLEJ22DrogaPrzygody
