Dreamy Eyes
Christina Aguilera Lyrics
I'm reaching out to touch you
In the middle of the night
And I don't know if I've been sleeping
But I hold my pillow tight
Are you real or are you my
Imagination playing games?
I can set you free, you'll always be
My one eternal flame.
They just won't say goodbye
Well, it must be my faith
Cause I just can't escape
And the passion never dies...
Oh, dreamy eyes
no matter how I cry
I just can't reach you
Dreamy eyes
You're a vision of tomorrow
And a ghost from yesterday
And I've been trying not to let you
Take my breath away.
You're a summer breeze that comes and goes
But somehow lingers on
tell me how can I forget you
If you've never really gone?
Your dreamy eyes
They just won't say goodbye
well, it must be my faith
'cause I just can't escape
And the passion never dies...
Oh, dreamy eyes
No matter how I cry
I just can't reach you
Dreamy eyes.
What do I have to do
To get that close to you and your...
Your dreamy eyes
They just won't say goodbye
Well, it must be my faith
'cause I just can't escape
And the passion never dies...
Oh, I tried so hard to release you
But no matter how I cry
I just keep seeing through
Dreamy eyes.

This is what SHE wanted her debut album to be like. However, her label wanted her to do teen pop.

@DHRGKBQXTJR this makes absolutely NO sense! But go off! I swear people know exactly what you mean on here but, want to debate about something so obvious or in this comment go off subject! lol

@Less Is More Upbeat or ballad has nothing to do with it. I Turn To You is a cover. It was originally sung by an R&B group All 4 One. If you listen to their version, you'll see that it is a very different genre compared to Christina's cover. They did an R&B ballad, Christina did a pop ballad.
Less Is More
@Floris Klaver this is a ballad tho. When ppl think teen pop, they’ll think of “genie in a bottle
Less Is More
@DHRGKBQXTJR it’s a ballad tho.. not upbeat like “come on over”
